Go on then provide a link that shows that lockdown is better for public health than no lockdown. Not some insignificant whine that there is a spelling mistake somewhere, or that people in Scotland have to travel 200 mikes to an A&E or, when my wife was in a building that is not a hospital. Not that it causes some marginal slow on the spread of covid, but that when all is considered, lockdown is better. An actual link to something that actually shows that lockdown is better than no lockdown.

Japan had no lockdowns, 125m people, fewer deaths than Scotland. Korea the same. Belarus the same. New Zealand, Vietnam, Botswana, very short lockdowns, less deaths than Britain.

In Portugal, it was considered that testing was not accurate enough to force to people to be imprisoned in their hotels. In Belgium the evidence was not enough to warrant lockdown. In California the court told the state to release the scientific evidence for lockdown, the state lifted lockdown rather than release evidence.

There is no scientific evidence that proves that lockdown is better than non lockdown, as you know. The Government is buying press space because it has been challenged in the high court, in England, by the hospitality industry. Johnson opened his great mouth and said we can't open the pubs because of scientific evidence. Immediately the hospitality industry jumped on him and opened a case to show the scientific evidence. Have you ever heard the phrase - 'we are in this together' being used several times as propoganda.................well, they are in this together.

The virus doesn't move about of its own accord, it hitches a ride on us, so the more we physically socialise the more it spreads. Thus hospitality businesses that rely on physical socialisation spread the virus. Thus they open last with the most restrictions.

Was a bit nippy wasn't it, especially with the wind.

Seen just before it is all the shops by the looks of it that are open, queuing to get into TK Maxx in Carlisle.

Dawned on me that the shops have been closed for how long and I wasn't even sure that they were opening today - did I really miss them or need them that badly?

Some of the clothes that I wear are a bit worse for wear if you pardon the pun and could do with replacing but these are exactly what I bought them for in the first place, to just slum around the house in, cheap stuff you don't mind as much getting all shitted up - nowt worse than having to change your best shirt before tucking into a take-away curry is there?

Well there is actually, being lazy and keeping said shirt on and then you can be as careful as you want and then you overload a bit of naan dipped in curry and bang - right down your shirt, then whilst your tea is going stone cold you are stuck in the kitchen over the sink, rubbing the shirt together in a mad frenzy with Vanish powder whilst asking the missus in a worried voice for the thirtieth time 'do you think that this stain will come out'.

Just listening to that Steffan bloke who comes on after the footie has finished on the radio (I am on the PC and too lazy to turn it off) - just done a phone in, mainly old folk and he had the bloke in charge of NHS Cumbria and the north east on the jabs front and it was rather good - a sort of idiot guide, and yes the old 'microchip' theory and why it couldn't happen cropped up but people with various conditions were ringing in and he was reassuring them, apparently the blood clots are of a different type and women who are merely pregnant are at a higher rate of blood clots because of their condition than the threat that the jab brings - info like this is great, of course things could happen but life in general is a risk.

One thing I noticed was that there was not one person I heard that he didn't convince to take the jab - not one.
