Borehamwood beat Halifax last night, and Barnet just won at Yeovil so trips to Harrogate and Notts Co respectively await.

Can’t be many folk want either of the M25 teams to come up?!

Will Harrogate have to replace their 3G pitch of they are promoted?

Hopefully Notts County.

The others can F off, especially Borehamwood. At a push I’d take Barnet over Harrogate, Harrogate just too tinpot for the EFL.

I want to know why Barnet don't have to go to Harrogate with them being the lowest placed side. Surely they should play the highest placed side which Notts Co. aren't.

I still reckon the way I wrote would've been better. It's how they do it lower down the pyramid.

National League and their N/S Divisions have six team Play-Offs.

Leagues below this level have four team Play-Offs.

If they're going to have the top eight being involved in playoffs or automatic promotion they may as well do away with them and go the whole hog and do what they do in the Segunda B where half the division gets to compete in them.

That's the only Northern team through to the final. It would be nice to see Notts Co dump Barnet out too but I have a sneaky feeling we may be seeing the latter next season but I hope not.

I said Notts county, but I’m thinking they’d be more of a force in League 2 so another tinpot little non league club in Harrogate might not be so bad.

Harrogate Town's owner has a net worth of over £200m which means we'll be even further down the league 2 rich list if they get promoted. With even less chance of signing any northern based players.

Correct. Carlisle are seen by many a team south of Lancashire as a too far out of the way, financially struggling club.
Carlisle have had their day.
The likes of Harrogate and Forest Green are the new kids on the block and, when Carlisle are eventually relegated they will struggle even more than Stockport County because of their geographical isolation.
A lot has changed since last time Carlisle were in the conference. Relegation next time could well mean conference north because unless the squad that took you down can get you back at the first time of asking-there is no way you will attract decent enough players to travel that far north to play at conference level.

That’s it nice and positive before the season starts, good to see. Up the football league we go and all that.

Harrogate should have been 4 or 5-0 up. Missed some glorious chances. Could come to regret them now as Notts are pressing for an equaliser.

3-1 now. They can start ripping up the plastic pitch.

Wouldn’t mind us looking at that Jack Diamond, on loan fo Harrogate from Sunderland. We could maybe get him if they want to loan him out again for the coming season.

Notts Co. were poor and Harrogate deservedly won the match.

I remember watching them a few times against Reds years ago. Just shows what ambition and a bit of loose cash can achieve.

I have a feeling a lot of the Northern away fixtures may be early on when none of us can attend as the government won't want fans going all round the country and the chance of the virus spreading even more.
