Looks to me like he’s best when playing with a target man to create space for him, looks like he’s a good finisher but definitely needs a target man to occupy the defence. His best goal tallies came when playing with John Sutton at St Mirren and Derek Lyle at Queens.

I’m going to trust Beech, his signings so far have all looked decent in the 2 or 3 months they had to show. Omari didn’t set the world alight at Bradford but has looked good here.

Think hes been out injured for most of the season so they haven’t seen much of him. He’s seems to be a hard worker, definitely going for the younger player and develop approach, Beech seems suited to that system. Let’s give him a chance eh.

He's available for a free transfer and loved his time up north when here on loan. With webster not coming back theres budget for him in the back.

Started off as the first choice for Rochdale but was then dropped.

Another sign showing the Academies are a crap idea. 23=year old and played twelve FL games in his career. Most lads careers are half over before they even get to play meaningful football, if they are even that lucky.

Joe Riley (if it’s the Bradford one ) would be a decent coup for us prior to his Bradford move, it was a supprise him dropping down to their - But injuries hurt him. Chances are well of got him for little money worth the gamble.

A fully fit tanner and Riley would be up their with the best two RB in L2 - some more signings like this please. Bit of quality experience to coach them through tough games - Kev gray type non of this Byron Webster and NKP rubbish we’ve had, and it could be a good season.

If we look at Beech’s jan signings and our rumours or highly likley signings he can spot players with potential, but our season could depend on the old heads he gets in.

Riley is a can play left back or in midfield but seems to be right footed, possibly Anderton is going to move to centre half which seems a good move if Webster’s off. Would like to see an experienced midfielder (Jones would’ve done a job) and some wingers now

Some exciting names being banded about. As other folk have said, looks like we’re going for a fairly youthful approach with hopefully a few more experienced heads to guide them along. Beech is on BBCRC on Friday night so hopefully we’ll get an idea of how close we are to making some announcements.

The training at Preston is possibly to do with a combination of less travel and also Brunton Park Car Park is being used as a Covid testing zone weekly at present - not the best place for footballers to be hanging around!

I run a kids football team for Penwortham Town who use Vernons and Newman College pitches to train and play on with us just recently getting a grant and spending thousands on the pitches. I’m also on the committee for Penwortham Town and our Chairman told them to leave. Anyway I’ve got pictures of Chris Beech and Jack Armer but it looks like it was just a trial so not sure if he is set to sign for Carlisle.

I wasn’t down there but after speaking with the chairman he said Chris Beech was there with 5 players. None were is Carlisle training kit and Jack Armer was in his North End training kit with Chris Beech in unmarked kit.

Some of the Squad were in Carlisle yesterday, not sure if training or maybe readying for fitness testing etc.

Armer sounds like a young lad with potential but might not be ready for first team straight away. Scotland u19 with McCarron soothe potential is there. PNE fan seemed a bit surprised he was released.

Tells a story. If I was a betting man.........Looks like he never played for the 1st team but did well on loan at Lancaster, scored 3 goals in 26 appearances according to their website! Was recalled by PNE for 2 months at Christmas to cover but never kicked a ball then went back to Lancaster. Linked with us, Fylde and Hartlepool according to their forum which kind of goes hand in hand with the above article.

Tanner looked good at Morecambe last season, went to Salford in January but didn't really play. Looks like he did really well at Morecambe and should have probably stayed there but that might not have been his choice!

Well, in my FM save I signed Tanner in L2 and he's still playing for me in the championship, so basically he's the next coming of Dani Alves.
