Football at the top level has been built for commercialisation, VAR would never have been brought in for the match-going fans and does not get rid of controversy. I am growing to hate football at that level where players are mercenaries playing for the money instead of playing for the love of the game. I would much rather watch us play long balls to win territory than watch a team pass round the back for half the game, the long ball is an art. Players in league two are playing for their livelihoods and there's so much more connection between fans, management and players who care about the club. The day VAR comes to the lower leagues will be a dark day.
Two sides to that, when Maurinho first came to Chelsea, the footy was awful. 5 at the back, conceded very few goals, low scoring games. Got results, but sxxt to watch. Compare that to Klopp, play out from the back, draw the opposition and make gaps in their defense, score but also concede goals, much better to watch. In saying that, thier is nothing better than a well placed long pass, trouble is, their are not that many that have that skill.
