Sounds like sour grapes, the offer made to him to extend his contract probably reflected his ability, and that will have been a shock to him.

Far too happy giving himself wedges when he had cost us a goal for him to be missed.

If we’d offered Webster a contract reflecting his ability he would have been paying us.

I don't think going into Muffin Break on a match day is enough of a reason to vilify him!

Leaves, then slags off unknown people at his previous club. Very big and brave. A bit like his defending really, never his fault.

Yes, I agree, Bumble. Really poor from Webster. He got a lot of flak from fans and the media and in fairness it was deserved. Some really poor performances, costing us a goal a game at times it felt like for a period.
I'm not sure he did himself any favours with his attitude either really. Same could be said with Loft and Sorensen. Fans forgive a lot if they can see a player giving his all. He seemed to hold himself in high regard, which is fine if the performances match up to that. Which mostly they didn't. Sad really as his performances did improve as the season wore on.

Strange how just about everyone on here thinks someone with the initials DH is a snake yet Webster who improved markedly under Beech is getting vilified for possibly sharing the same opinion.

Errr. . .I certainly wasn't vilifying Webster for calling DH a snake. Never crossed my mind to be honest, you must know something I don't, fair enough.

I guess I'm maybe in the minority in thinking he didn't actually improve that much. He still seemed to be making the same mistakes, it was just that Hayden was more used to having to jump in and organise to compensate for them.
