Turned down a £2m move to French Club Guingamp:

Saw Guingamp play at home against Monaco in league 2 there nice little ground, looked out for their results ever since. It’s incredible that they have a stadium of 18,000 but the town only has a population of 7280. The Monaco manager that day was Claudio Ranieri and they had some top class players.

They haven't before unless the players are on their way out, but we are in the prem now (just in case anyone never noticed) and Edmundson is a bit of a strange one.
He's very much an old style bruiser of a forward, which is not really Bielsa's style. They have been working like mad over the last couple of seasons to get him more mobile, and he apparently got to the stage where they were ready to throw him in, but then got a bad injury.
Critical time and move for him this.
There will be some great young kids going on loan this year I'd say (Gotts and McAlmont for example). Seems a change of policy.

Edmundson sounds like my kind of striker, a proper frontman alongside a sniffer is a tried and tested tactic. He should get planty game time with Cosgrove out long term.

Looked the part without doing anything outstanding. They picked up when he came on, not that they could have got much worse.

I can remember Mark Beck trending on twitter after the Blackburn League cup match .Looked like he would be a fantastic player for us....look how that turned out . Or Macheda in his first few matches for Man u looked like he the future of the club.

To be fair Beck may end up being a league 2 striker again by tonight.
