Now the line-up is known (Unless the Stevenage/Macclesfield situation changes!) we’ll set up a Thread for all discussion on the other teams in the Division - We’ll keep Transfers on the other Thread though!

With the addition of Barrow and Harrogate, and Bolton and Tranmere coming down from L1, there’s definitely a more ‘Northern’ feel to the map!

Seems a tad harsh, though it appears as if it is the style of football that they are unhappy with.

Maybe we should have the 'Class of 92' (minus the Welsh one of course) overseeing the England team.
We may not then have to watch a team of right backs and backward/sideways passing holding players.

I wouldn't be surprised. He only signed a contract till the end of the season at Swindon and they are just above the relegation places.

Is it OK to manage three different teams in one season? :D

Actually it would beat his personal best as it would be his fourth this season: Waterford, Wigan and Swindon already this season.

I wonder if he can get Nicky Adams to fire them to promotion next season.

Bit surprised that they sacked Kewell to be honest, they kicked our backsides only the other week - their board must not have counted that game on the basis that we are shite.

Curle can pick and choose his club from most of the bottom two leagues, I can imagine that Wimbledon will want him at some stage.

Oldham Athletic have appointed former Northampton Town boss Keith Curle as their new head coach on an initial deal until the end of the season.

The 57-year-old led the Cobblers to promotion from League Two last term but was sacked in February after a poor run of form left them 23rd in League One.

Harry Kewell was sacked by the Latics on Sunday after seven months in charge.

Curle is the eighth different manager at the League Two club since Abdallah Lemsagam took over as owner in 2018.

His first match in charge will be at Port Vale on Tuesday while Paul Butler has returned to the club and been appointed his assistant coach.

Former Leeds and Liverpool winger Kewell, 42, took charge in August, replacing Dino Maamria after spells with Crawley Town and Notts County.

Despite scoring 49 goals in 32 League Two fixtures this season, the third-highest of any team in the fourth tier, the Latics have so far conceded a league-high 56 goals and are 16th in the table.

Former England and Manchester City defender Curle joined Northampton in 2018 after a three-and-a-half-year spell as manager of Carlisle United.

He took the Cobblers up through the League Two play-offs last season, the first time he had won promotion as a manager, having also managed Mansfield, Chester, Torquay United and Notts County.

Well you have to take your hat off to the Curly one, doesn't seem to be out of a job for long, It'll be interesting to see how he gets on there with that trigger happy chairman.

It's a Leeds thing PP.
Signed for the club whose fans murdered two Leeds fans a couple of years after it happened.
Said it was about building bridges.
Him and his z list bird should not show their face in England again.
One of the best Leeds players I saw though.

Kewell signed for Galatasary roughly 8yrs after the tragic incident in Istanbul, and had been at Liverpool for 5yrs.

Do you hate Hasselbaink for going to watch Galatasary in 2017 and tweeting “An incredible atmosphere at Galatasary tonight”?

Will Alioski be subject to abuse if he joins Galatasary this Summer as is currently rumoured?

Not sure time will ever heal the hatred felt to him. He was a [censored] for going to Liverpool, but you could see the football sense in it. An awful night in Turkey will always be off limits to Leeds fans, same as Hillsborough for your lot.
Jimmy Piggybanks was hated long before that tweet.
Yeak, Alioski will be persona non grata if he goes there (not that it will bother him).
Hating ex players is a big, nonsensical thing for Leeds fans (think Alan Smith), but do not think there is anything wrong with hating Kewell and everything he stands for.

I would argue there is a parallel - and both would be bollocks.

Neither Kewell, Jansen or Branthwaite have murdered anyone - OMG, I forgot he signed for Liverpool as well......what a rotter !!!!

For the record, I've seen Liverpool at Hillsborough. Don Hutchison gave them the lead and I'll admit to celebrating a little when Viv Anderson got a late equaliser to deny the bin dippers a win. I sat in the Leppings Lane End, bottom section, middle tier.

Topstepwhinger gets the point, perfectly.

The fact appointing Kewell as manager would annoy some of the Leeds element, would be a bonus in my eyes. Do we do what's best for our club or pander to the Leeds mob?
