Are Barrow in financial trouble?

Breaking the bank to sign the likes of Farman and Zanzala really looks worth it now, doesn't it?

You have to say it looks good business by our club not to pay over the odds for average tier four players.

Nothing decided in January.

I know we are all feeling more confident and looking up the table rather than at the relegation battle but it seems Colchester are getting themselves in a mess. Outbid for Ryan Loft, the chairman being shamed to put more money into the club to buy players this January and their continued failure to get results means we'll have another 'six-pointer' in a month's time.

They lost Jasper, a striker, who has gone back to Fulham, signed a defender who couldn't get in Crawley's team. Clough and Abrahams might be canny signings for them. Lowest scorers in the division.
Oldham and Scunthorpe also lost good players.

One week, one game, too early to say for definite, but as of today a good window for us.

Yes Marco, and Colchester signed a lot of old men from a struggling L1 Ipswich side in the summer. These guys either bring experience and stability or just get older and older. A run of Sat and Tues games will not do them old men any good,

The Colchester guy explained the funding reasons and the affect lockdown has had on his other businesses which helped to boost funding pre lock down. And he has explained Things so I don't see him shamed into anything.

Bob, I accept his businesses were badly affected by Covid but why did Cowling not announce just before the January window that his businesses were now in a position to provide some more cash to strengthen the team? This is something our board thankfully got right even if not everybody believed them. Leads me to think he has been embarrassed into announcing the extra money 11 days into the window. But Bob you are more charitable.

It was an odd one. I can't imagine they were that cheap either. The fans seemed happy though. Are they all on 2 year contracts?

Lots of midfield action. Colchester sign Emyr Huws, the one player released by Ipswich in the summer they didn't get then. Hughes is a very good player but some serious injury issues. Also picked up Owura Edwards. Winger who didn't get much of a chance at Exeter in the first half of the season. Parent club Bristol C.

Hartlepool lose Matt Daly, recalled from loan by Huddersfield. Oldham pick up Alex Hunt from Sheff W. Alex was impressive at Grimsby before Christmas, is there a greater accolade?
