It seems we are offering sponsorship deals for the stadium name and the WRE this season.

How do folks feel about it? I am happy enough, it will always be Brunton Park and the Warwick Road End to me, so they can call it what they want.

I have got used to checking the name of the stadium before I embed it into the photograph when I'm working away as most grounds seem to go for sponsorship now.

Or if the supporters raised money and called it the director is a fat bunt stadium

It's an interesting idea. Would anyone on here be willing to chip in money so the messageboard can sponsor a stand or get some advertising at the ground with a message aimed at showing our unhappiness with the BOD? The mods could coordinate it, and while I've had my arguments with them I do genuinely trust them to handle the money on something like this.

Anyone else heard rumours that we’ll be playing at the Potter’s Catarrh Pastilles Arena next season?

Yet again a thread is derailed by a pair of insufferable bores.

all about money as usual.

Says the capitalist...

Would you sue your football club?Remember it’s season ticket money that would fund the defence.

You're implying that the only reason you didn't sue them for defamation is out of some kind of community spirit/altruism. I think it's because you didn't have a case.

At the risk of stating the obvious Kes, why are you dominating every thread?

I see you had another pop at me last night about cash again-tiresome.It was you who asked about the value of Hyperdrive-I just said it was life changing for me.You then persist in digging away with your little shovel, looking for weakness, angles-all about money as usual.

I find that by telling the truth, I don’t need to remember what I said?Try it.

By the way, can I see you 2021 tax return so I can pour all over it on this board, then probe away like a leech

They can call what they bloody well like, but however it will always be 'Brunton Park' to me no matter what.

orfc has hit the nail on the head in a round about way - stadium naming rights have a fairly limited level of appeal in terms of money for existing grounds, because the firms know that most fans will always refer to it by it's traditional name. Can still bring some money in but it won't be huge amounts.

The best time to sell stadium name sponsorship is when you've got a brand spanking new one. Best example of this is Bolton - how many people still refer to it as "The Reebok"?

No real issue with stands being sponsored but not a massive fan of the stadium one.

Fans maybe won't, but when it gets mentioned on Gillette Soccer Saturday or even the local sports reports, surely that will be more appealing to businesses than fans saying the name.

I think it's good that the club are putting some effort into bringing more sponsorship in.

It was very noticeable last season on ifollow how few sponsorship deals we have compared to every other club in the division.

Stadium name sponsorship divides opinion, but if it brings income in then so be it. Whatever it is named it will always be known as and referred to by fans as Brunton Park. For example I say I'm going to Field Mill to see Carlisle play Mansfield. Never once have I said I'm going to the One Call Stadium.

Can you sponsor via Monero/other crypto? I'd like to the match ball sponsorship for a match.

Just a bit of humour. Life is too short for petty arguments.

Oh . . a joke. . .righto.

I think you are rather missing the point of sponsorship Kessler. The idea is the person who pays the money chooses the name, providing the club agrees it's suitable. I think your ideas fail on all counts.

It was a joke Bumble. Just trying to lighten the mood after our recent disputes.

Surely firms want associated with shiny new brand spanking stadiums (brand spanking as in new, not some NS S&M fetish club thing)

Would a firm want to name something that's falling to bits after itself? Or is this a wheeze to get rid of some debt? Edinburgh Wooly Mills (2021) Stadium?

If we're naming it after EWM it should be "The Philip Day Doesn't Pay His Debts Stand"

Hmm... and the Trust say that succession may be only weeks away! Why would any company wishing to take over CUFC want another company to have their name plastered all over it? How about the Mike Ashley Arena.
Oh did I tell you, I might be weeks away from winning the lottery, perhaps I should buy a ticket.

I shouldn't be telling you this, so don't tell anyone else, but the takeover is actually a secret partnership between me and Laffy. We've combined the best capitalist mind with the best socialist mind to form an an unbeatable consortium. Our arguments on here are scripted to throw people off the scent.
