Morning folks.

For those who contributed to the ‘Flags Fund’ last Season, we’re starting the Mural Project with the remaining £800 left over today.

When completed, it will be on the side of the Club House, along from the Fixtures Hoarding.

Looking forward to our very talented Artist working these next couple of days!

Dan.

Can people claim their money back if they aren’t happy the flag moneys being used for a painting?

Trust were at it first with their fund and now the mods - although the trust had a longer statement on what the money was going to be used for and deviated.

I suppose a mural is a sort of flag so sort of fits the criteria. A pub refurb to help the club through Coronovirus certainly doesn’t!

Honest to god is there anything you won't complain about? I'd honestly suggest you find a new hobby as you seem to get pretty much no joy out of anything to do with Carlisle United.

Dan has been clear for months that the extra money was going to be used for some artwork - this was emailed out to everyone who paid in and I'm sure he'll confirm this (I've not been closely involved in it, he's done a huge amount of work in this), not one single person has asked for any money back.

I've seen the draft designs and it's going to be great - something really eyecatching that people will see on a matchday and I'm sure that they (especially younger fans) will be keen to get a photo taken infront of it.

Just wind it in for once ffs.

I wasn’t actually being serious ;)

It was more a joke at the trust, chill.

I was being sarcastic, I knew what the plan was and what Dan was doing, he kept people informed. Whereas the trust didn’t and panicked and spent it on a bar refurbishment.

A murals a good idea - no problems.

If I had a problem with Dan and the mural I’d contact him directly.

He probably realised it was sarcastic, in jest also considering I’ve posted elsewhere it’s a good idea FFS.

Most clubs have them, great idea.

Edit: I don’t have any problem, I understand message could be interpreted as serious but it really wasn’t.

Dan gets 100% praise on this from me. Raised money for something direct and had extra. Told everyone what the extra money was going to be spent on.

Simple way of doing it, while the trust in the other hand didn’t let us know until they decided themselves and went away from their directive.

Don't worry about it pal - that moderator is not the fizziest drink in the fridge.

Everyone else in the world could see that you were having a laugh - I am surprised that he didn't ban you, delete your post and accuse you of laughing at crippled people or something, it is the sort of thing that he does.

If you didn’t know and just read it, I can see where Mersey was coming from.

No harm done - move on

But yes of course I wasn’t serious. Dan’s done a lot of good work and achieved something. It’s all good from me! A murals a great idea, as I’ve said a few times! I might get my photo taken in front of it.

Congratulations for once again mixing me and Mike up - I wouldn't go throwing around accusations of people being "not the fizziest drink in the fridge" lightly if you can't get a basic like that one right.

In that case my apologies and commiserations to both of you for being plastic scousers.

I thought that like last time one of you was going to admit to being so upset at the events of the Hillsborough investigation that you would resort to making stuff up and banning folk on a Carlisle United message board as the clubs are so closely linked.

An easy mistake to make.

And now that you have stopped hiding behind CCU for two minutes - how about answering some of Kes's questions about the missing posts?

I can imagine you saying 'it werent me lar' and crawling back to the shadow of CCU once again like the cowards that you are.

It had been noticed you know.

I've said before that you only hear from the scouser moderators as a rule when they appear from behind CCU to have a nasty pop at someone.

I am not right very often but here one of them turns up (right) on cue to have an unnecessary pop at Mullen and validate my claim.

Good idea I think. As long as it doesn’t have any Barrow players on it like one of the flags does :)

😂 Couldn't give a shiny shite what your thoughts are munchy pal. You seem obsessed with me being a scouser when my handle literally just says where I live - I couldn't give a toss about either LFC or EFC.

There's been plenty of posts on the topic of Barry and the response remains the same - I've nowt further to add on that. It's tiresome nonsense like that which has put me off posting - I'm still reading most days but got other things to do cheers.

I do think it's cute though that you and your merry band of men are so obsessed with fighting Barry's "cause", especially considering some of the stuff he's posted in the past 🙄

"especially considering some of the stuff he's posted in the past"

You mean the stuff that you deleted? - Your post does display a disliking for the person in question.

It is more a case of some posters being concerned what is going on behind the scenes and foul play, you just bring Barry into things to try to muddy the water.

Not even sure if Kes even likes Barry.

You are the IT guy are you not MB - if not then who is please?

We don’t have an ‘IT Dept’ Munchy.

Visions of scenes reminiscent of ‘The IT Crowd’ aren’t our forte…

:)

(Glad to see another Thread veer way off topic… :( )
