I'm of the opinion that the future of the club was inevitable when the custodians were given the keys to the building. Their lack of investment has brought us to this point. There is no plan, structure or will to change where we are now. The so called trust are mere puppets.
There were 20 happy clappers left applauding when the players left the pitch last night - were there any dissenters?

I think we all know that any sensible deal will involve a complete rout-I would remove them all, including AJ, but keep NC.

I seem to remember when Day stepped in he did so because he didn't want to see the club fold. So where exactly is he right now his continued silence makes him no better that the present incompetents.
The best thing he could do if he doesn't want to take over the club would be to write off the debt on condition that the owners give the club to new owners.

Question for Laffy. So when we are relegated and I think we passed the point of no return last night, what happens to the debt? Will there be more pressure on the three idiots to pay it back? Will Day call it in? Bearing in mind income will drop dramatically. Or more of the same?

Debt suffocates-it’s been killing the club for many years with the utterly crass blocking right sitting with the penniless Trust.We have debt in the balance sheet because the Trust has blocked fresh long term equity for fear of dilution below 25.4pc-save for my deal.

The debt will not disappear unless it’s paid off or written off.Im 100pc certain it won’t be called in but it’s absolutely a tool to leverage the equity holders out of the way.

PD holds all the cards-and that is why I am sure he has zero interest in taking control.More likely he will gift the club to new blood by leveraging the current mob out-big issue is the debt because no one will take it on with that sitting in the balance sheet.

They are going to have to swing the bat with squad improvement soon.Who will fund?

Hanging by a thread is how I would describe it - short term we absolutely have to stay up this year - go down and its nothing like last time, last time we were a big fish in small pond, now we would be lucky to stay in that league never mind go straight back up. As a club I honestly think we are screwed, the owners are a disgrace we have been on a downward path since they took over, nothing has improved, the whole set up stinks, the ground is falling to bits, playing squad is awful, there is no passion from the owners, no accountability, no acceptance that this is not good enough , no vision to make it better - all we have is them scrambling to recoup a few quid whilst we disappear into oblivion. Millen already looks beaten, he's gone from saying we were going to be fine and no reason to worry about relegation to almost blind panic in the space of 2-3 weeks, if the best he can come up with is " I might have to get angry with them " then we have no hope.

Ownership change simply has to happen, if we survive this year ( unlikely as it is ) we will just be back here in the near future - I can remember when supporting Carlisle was something that made me proud, when I felt like yeah we will never be a Liverpool or Man U or anything like that but at least we were trying to be the best we can - now I feel that those in charge who can make a difference just have a totally different mindset - its really is an awful time to be a blue.

I am in my mid forties now - I will always be a Carlisle fan never mind what league we are in, but what would make a young lad or lass take up following this shower of Sxxt now?

We are who we are now, and I can't see any ammount of tinkering will change that.

I don't thing any magical goal scorer can get us out of the smelly stuff, as the core is bad.

A few ' miracle ' results could change things, but if there is no immediate uplift with a new Manager, their never will be.

Come Jan, anyone in the bottom four or five will be looking to improve their squad, so may we, but the competition will be fierce.

We must stop leaking goals, at the moment a 0-0 at home is a result for us.

You declined because you are essentially irrelevant.

You neither have the means nor the cahunas to be involved.

Maybe a more realistic idea is to get the company who make Football Manager to have an FM challenge. Who can guide their team from the Northern Premier League to the Premier League- without turning it on and off, cheat packs etc. The winner gets to manage CUFC and the company, Sega(?), chuck in £1m a year to support the club for 5 years. TV rights, fly on the wall documentary, televised board meetings etc etc go to them. I don't think one of us could sign worse players than Beech.

Alternatively, we get someone like the manager from Harrogate and his mum and dad fund the club. Works for them

This is the issue I have with our clever correspondent Marko's assertions about encouraging more folk to go to the games rather than discouraging fans from attending, where are the club when it comes to getting more folk in to the ground? Are they shouting it from the rooftops? Are they advertising anywhere? Making any special efforts at all considering the current perilous situation? It seems not...... If they, the custodians of , as Marko suggests, "Our" club, if they don't care enough to be making a noise about it, why should anyone else? A noisy Scotsman and an exile in Canada extolling their virtues must be enough for our custodians to firmly believe all is actually well?

Very worrying indeed........and before Marko chimes in.... I do go to the games(Apart from Pizza trophy) and prior to Covid I was a season ticket holder for well over twenty five years......
