I think it's more the athleticism which is important , Simeu and Mellish player on the outside of the 3 as both were quite athletic , I think Feeney is more suited to the middle of the back 3.

Nartley didn't look great in the clip, but he spent the whole season out injured. Maybe with game practice he'll improve. He can cover right centre back and right back, so could be good cover until Senior is fit

Yes and yes , the 3 at the back with Mellish looked very solid , as a midfielder Mellish struggles but his time midfield has made him really suit his role there .

Back to the back 3 , Simmo has talked about having players who can play wing back , he seems to be looking at more Cm/Cams and talks about the spine .

Mellish was a liability at the back before Simpson joined. He improved markedly after that. Feeney, mellish and whelan didn't look good together at the end of the season. If he brings a third player in, in place of whelan, maybe it will be solid enough.

Don't know about Callum Cooke but Andy Cook would be a useful addition from Bradford particularly with his links to the club.

I don’t think either are a possibility really given Hilton and Edmondson play similar roles.

Cooke probably more likely given he’s a free agent, although apparently he’s linked with Rochdale.

Hayden and Zoko were found through trails maybe we will find someone from the half dozen trailists we have at the moment who will fit the bill.
