I think Claire has done the right thing stepping down. I think the role (in its current form) is a waste of time now, and I think anybody who previously was considering applying, will now likely be put off having read Claire's piece.

Given norman steel was at that meeting he should be making some form of proper statement as he was there to represent fans as well. The bland statement from the trust is not acceptable and shows norman doesnt want to rock the boat. Claire has done more to represent the fans than he has in a decade.

Why is everything to do with cufc shrouded in secrecy ? Hope Claire lets everyone know who said what. It's absolute beggers belief that the apparent breach was in a club publication.

I have the pleasure of working along side Claire, without hesitation i can say that Claire is a person with the best intrests of Carlisle United football club at heart. She is a woman of impecable integrity. She is diligent, hard working and has a natural inclination to brings others together she is a natural conciliator. I was always struck by her wish to instigate change within the club and on initally meeting Claire she encouraged me to join the supporters truist as a vehicle for instigating change and progression (she herself join the trust in early 2015 in the hope of invoking positive change).

Claire has been the model of discretion in terms of her dealings with the club, she has demonstrated utter diligence concerning events and information in the club and the meetings she has attended. Never has she passed on information outside of the criteria that she has been instructed to work by.

I have boycotted Carlisle United this season due to what i consider to be intolerable conduct of those self-styled custodians. Claire has taken a different view of how to proceed. It is her instinct to instigate dialogue and assist those running the club to reflect and change. Her percepetion of the fans rep role has rightly been about maximising the experince of a fan. She has rightly seen this as a vital role and clearly it is. The role should not have to be 'a political role' as has been observed by Claire herself surley this is the role of the Trust? Claire's fan rep role is not wholey about holding to account the custodians and she has sought to do the role in good faith. The custodians will rarely come across any one else so fair minded and committed to building viable working relationships. i am sure that she has however sought to assist those running the club to beaware of her frustrations. She has demonstrated admiration of Keith Curle and the players and has focused on promoting the club at any opportunity to others, her perspective has been on of 'strength in unity'.

She has sought to tread a tightrope regarding confidentiality and information governance. Working in the NHS; information governance and confidentiality are rightly taken exceptionally seriously. I cannot quite believe that a confidentiality breach accusation could ever be leveled at a Claire this is made even more incredible given that this occurred in a publication vetted and published by the club!

In seasons to come i hope that this role pioneered by Claire is allowed to function and progress in the way that Claire has attempted. She should be applauded for her integrity and dignity.

Well if your proposal had of been accepted at least we would have had people in positions of power that wouldn't allow stuff like this.

The only guidance or advice they take is from the mirror that they look in on a morning.

Its not difficult-governance and accountability at top level.No fiefdom

You wouldn't boycott but our club, not just this week, is nothing short of an embarrassment it's sad.

People are left with no hope for our club that the only option left is to stop going. Sad but they/ we all are all pissed off and can't see it changing anytime soon.
