I'd be amazed if Akinde's still at Barnet next season. 82 goals in three seasons is good going by any standard.

Contracted util 2019 so Barnet would want a few bob. Can't see him ending up at BP somehow!

No but they have a manager in Evans who will have sold the Radfords the dream if they throw a few quid more in and go for it.

But you can bet he will also have spelt out the ramifications of not doing it

Time will tell but doubling their average next season (7400) would be some achievement given they have only had one league crowd above that figure in the last 13 seasons!!

Mansfield weren't terrible last season and with all these players they keep signing I wonder if there are any decent players that they are getting rid of we could sign. Reggie will know some of them.

Maybe Evans will look at Adam Collin, he didn't rate him in The Championship but he knows what he can do in the lower leagues, especially when it comes down to penalties.

Evans say's they're after 2 more signings and since they had an enquiry knocked back for Morquis or Akinde then I'm expecting someone decent still to come in.They still only have 1 goalkeeper mind.

Seems to spend a lot of money on wages if the stories are to be believed. That's not necessarily always possible. Imagine high wages are what attract the player rather than him selling the clubs. Suppose if they go up it's been worth it.

Looking through the attendance history Mansfield back to 1932, the highest average attended they've ever had was around 12k in 1950, but between now and the 1980s they only ever to average over 5k twice , in 1980 and 2005 .

They are certainly going for it and fair play to them, I hope that the players don't gel instantly and the are crap after the new year like we were though.

We could do what they did but Jenkins doesn't want to spend an more money and as for the gates at Mansfield, I reckon five to five and a half thousand if they are winning all the time is more likely with bigger crowds for local games like Notts County and that.

Will be interesting how many they bring up here if they are flying.

The other thing with Mansfield is, Evans is a nutter, he may do well but there is also the chance he will fall out with or alienate players if things aren't going well. Read the book "Journeyman" very enlightening as to how the radge scots git manipulates things.

But the one position we dont need any more players in is the wide role so i discounted them. Bury fans glad to see the back of Mellis so he cant of been that great over his time there

But not much more than half they would have got had he been willing to go to the club who made the best offer.

But their history with players they sign from non league is pretty chequered to say the least and from his interview he wanted to go to a club where hed have half a chance of walking straight into the first team and you cant see Rochdale paying 100k for someone to sit on the bench.

We need 2 players primarily for every position, Surely we will learn our lesson from last year's "Well he can play their if needed" (gillesphey at left back for example).

Lee Molyneux got released by Morecambe, Not many of their lot are unhappy about him going.

We couldn't afford two players for every position.

We need more utility players like Liddle who can play shit at right back, centre half and even midfield if needed.

Also i can see why people are banding Dean Henderson's name around Facebook & twitter but would that really be a good signing knowing Man United could easily take him back the first day after the transfer window if De Gea (or 1 of the other 5) gets injured? Then we would be forced to have Bacon on the bench because he is a full pro now.
