The best of luck Claire, I'm sure everything will go well for you. I'm also sure there'll be a tame Carlisle United supporting solicitor out there (you know who I mean) who might be prepared to look over the confidentiality agreement before you sign it.

Board meetings, of course, are different from other meetings, and are also different from the normal day to day running of the business. Make sure you get your points across, and strongly, make certain they are noted in the minutes of the meeting, and don't worry about any of the replies you get.

As I've said, this is going to be a thankless task, and it is up to you yourself to make it more bearable. Make sure they know right from the start that you will be nobody's pushover in board meetings and you'll be halfway there.

I hope it all goes well for you, and thanks for keeping us up to date.
