From the PNE Website...

Travel
In partnership with official Club sponsor Virgin Trains, there will be a football special for this fixture.

Prices for the train are as follows - standard class, adults £40, concession (over 65 and U16) £38; first class - adults £50, concessions (Over 65 and U16) £48.

Departs Preston at 0953 and into Euston at 1233, with the return leaving Euston at 19:10 and back to Preston at 2130.

Wonder if our lot have even considered it for one of our London games? Given we've 3 Saturday games to London in Jan it could be sold easily for one of them (Xmas presents for Blues etc)?

That would take initiative on the clubs part! They are more likely to move it to a Friday evening kickoff to keep the other club happy with no consideration for our fans. Cant see Preston taking more than us to London games.

Why would Preston not take more to London games than us? They're a bigger club with more fans, so will take more fans away.

Our away support has always been bigger than Prestons. They only took 1700 to BP on Boxing Day. We must have the highest proportion of away fans to what we get at home in the country. Reckon theres more Carlisle fans in london aswell than Preston.

Just had a look at Prestons away figures for last season and they aved 1374. Their games around London ie Crawley Gillingham Orient Swindon get them a paltry ave of 455 so whilst our away support may not be as large in total id say it stands up very impressively against them over longer distances and as said above as a percentage of home to away fans. Id guess a lot of our away fans at games around the capital arent regular home attenders although some no doubt are.

15 teams within roughly a couple of hours, games v Blackpool, Fleetwood, Rochdale, Oldham, Crewe, few Yorkshire teams etc, should be pushing 2k really?!

The football special trains are dry trains and strictly enforced by on board stewards. No thanks, not for me. Remember it's illegal to drink on public transport dedicated to go to football
