I say roadworks but replacing a drain cover held us up for 40 minutes on the way across Friday evening. Backed up to Appleby!
It's in that dodgy dip just before the Brough dual carriage way - traffic lights being the issue. I guess at mid morning it won't be a massive issue.

We were thinking it must be a big job with such a big tail back. When you drive past and see what they've been doing it takes believing. All it needed last night was a bit of Tarmac slapped round it to finish the job.

Under my glorious rule people who complain about roadworks in public forums will be forced to operate one of those handheld stop/go signs while cars run over their most prized possessions from both directions
