Seems like a defensive lineup - a strong looking bench to change things if we go behind.

Trying to guess how we will line up...

Or change miller for Grainger with Kennedy on the left?

who would have expected Sweeney in with both Balanta and Hery on bench? I guess it keeps the opposition guessing and its good to have options.

Grainger wing back, I hope, he's a much better player in that position. Looks a good attack minded team to me. Hope this young lad is good.

the other interesting point is that 3 transfer listed players are in the starting 11.

I take it you haven't been to Shanfield nobby or for a long time. Shithole wouldn't do it justice.

Newcastle lad hasn't been involved too much but looks very good when he has the ball at his feet.

Had a hand in both goals.

Early days, but reminds me of Ben Marshall when he first signed.

Lumsden likened Gilliead to Tom Lawrence so I guess the Ben Marshall comparison fits as well.

Inevitably, after a few passes someone gets closed down and possession is either lost or you end up with someone like Raynes or Troy being the player who has to make a forward pass under pressure with predictable results.

However as good as we can play even at 2-0 up we will always give away chances and inevitably goals. No one individual of the defence was outstandingly crap, but collectively for the last 30 mins they were woeful! We really miss a commanding centre half who damands we do not concede goals and chances and leads us out! With 3 at the back i'd expect 2 markers and a sweeper? Our lads look scared to mark at times. How do 3 centre backs afford strikers the amount of time they're getting? Hopefully an ex England international defender can figure this out.... Oh wait!

Positives Gilliead... Made things happen brought pace and excitement, travels well with a football, I thoight his shot leading to our second goal was going in, until Raynes blocked it.., wrong end son

Miller's a great find from non league... A couple of seasons of league football he'll make it into League 1 no probs

Dicker was calm and composed I agree he's a step quicker than others around him which I haven't always seen but yesterday was evident he too can and maybe should be a level higher... Doesn't work with Joyce though they're too similar! Hows about a 4-4-2 diamond with him at the base and Hery creating further forward I don't know.

My last observation is 3-5-2! We haven't a single centre back who takes rrsponsibility which means we've 3 players time and again marking space not men which creates so much time for attackers... I like how we're trying to play but conceding 17 goals at this stage is unacceptable! If we sort that out we can seriously get promoted.

Dicker should play instead of Joyce in my opinion. I assume Joyce is told to, but he drops far too deep a lot of the times and effectively receives and plays the ball from space Raynes could easily step into and push us a bit further up were he not there.

If we stay with 3-5-2 like I assume we will, we need Hery to be in there, it was laughable how little movement there was from the midfield trio yesterday and unfortunately Kennedy looks a shadow of the player he was last season. I'd prefer a standard 4-4-2, so that when the fullbacks get the ball they have a winger ahead of them to pass too and offer and option or overlap for, at the moment we get it out wide then pass it backwards to a centre half or Dicker/Joyce making it all too slow.

I would think Kennedy is better in a 4-4-2.....
