With Asamoah rested yesterday and Charlie Wyke still out injured, it must be a tad concerning for Rigg that despite this he still can't even get a place on the bench. Harsh on him or has the team evolved so much from last season that he doesn't really fit our style now?

I wouldn't quite put Brough in the out of the picture category yet. He's played more minutes than Rigg and has just been handed a contract extension. More a loss of form with Brough I think.

The way we played last season suited Rigg's hard working, battling, feeding off scraps style of play. I would have said Rigg would be on the bench v Liverpool, but Gilliead's performance yesterday and ability to make things happen might just put him ahead of Rigg as someone who can come on and make a difference.

Unfortunately for him we need somebody who can do it now, I imagine he will go out on loan to get some game time. Personally I'd be playing him from the bench. It be nice to see use develop a player like him, not just send him on loan then sell him on.

The times he`s started earlier this season he`s been blowing mid-second half, the step up must still be a problem for him. Not over for him tho here I`d say, he`s still young enough to develop further
