TOPIC: Biggest disappointment so far this season?

I was expecting good things from Bastien Hery since he looked bright in pre-season, but that hasn't come off for him in the important stuff.

I'm more disappointed with the lack of progress (or the backwards steps) Pat Brough. Most people were probably hopeful that he was going to be able to push on and be the next home grown player to really make the grade for us. There's still hope there for him and there's a good player inside there somewhere, let's hope he regains form.

I don't think there'd be any dispute about the fact that Jabo has been the biggest surprise package for us.

Gonna disagree on both views there sirjim - for me Hery is lively and makes things happen in the middle, isn`t frightened to get stuck in and has some neat tricks. Pat Brough, is good on his day like them all really. He`s a young lad learning the game still and I would expect KC to use him and sub him when required. He got a contract so KC must believe in him.

To be honest I'm enjoying the stuff on the pitch but the off the field stuff is leaving a big cloud hanging over the club and that is the only big disappointment so far this season .

Bit negative and early to be singling out disappointments isn't it? There's a lot less of them around than in recent seasons.

It's bloody annoying having anything to be disappointed about to be honest. We have a team which is playing attacking football, we've seen some very good games with both teams going for it, we've got about the number of points I'd have been looking for, we have a cup game with a big side and all in all it looks like being a pretty reasonable season.

We still have the old farts ruining everything though, and that is really disappointing, at a time when everything at the club could be so good. Even loads of stuff having been done behind the scenes with a new ticketing system, work on the drinks offer, the kid zone, a fan rep and decent stuff (to a small extent) with the trust, it all still isn't right. The whole place could be buzzing, we could be expecting more and more fans through the turnstiles, instead we have those idiots clinging on to their power base by any possible means. Their deception and lies could damage the club for years, even decades to come. What we need now is total openness not the cloak and dagger mysteries and bullshit they keep coming out with.

There are decent long time supporters of the club who have been so disgusted by this ridiculous behind the scenes stuff that they won't be coming back. I, for one, can't blame them. The treatment of Lapping, whether his bid was any good or not, was despicable - to say the least - he seemed to have acted entirely in good faith and was rewarded by being stabbed in the back. The blatant lies about this mystery billionaire investor aren't just disappointing they are a total embarrassment to everyone in any way connected to the club, and that includes every supporter. The fact that they have stolen a number of Lapping's ideas and put them in place as their own ideas makes everything even worse for me. They are an utter disgrace and we need rid of the blood sucking leeches as soon as possible or they will have sucked the life completely out of the club.

I'm certainly enjoying having a good moan every week. Team is fun to watch, away from the relegation zone, couple of good cup wins, financial situation looking up. Terrible, bring back Aidan McCafferey!!

Biggest disappointment so far this season?

That night that I got a green light but had drank so much that however hard I thrashed away I was never going to get a happy ending.

I did just read that. I had to look at it 3 times to make sure. Crangon, that was the funniest post of the week, without any doubt.

I'm yet to see Mullen in a cardigan this campaign. Pissed me right off.

There have been a few highlights on the pitch - The transition of Tom Miller to league football, The rejuvenation of Asamoah and of course he elevation to cult status of the Islington Assassin!

On the down side I agree Brough and Rigg haven't grabbed their opportunity as I expected them to - not writing either off yet but they can't afford to let opportunities pass them by.

Like many and posted above the biggest thing to me is the fact that what has been done on the pitch (with f all money) cannot be transformed into optimism around the club as a whole. After the last few years we should be able to look forward to Saturday with optimism and without distraction.

I cant be arsed with the who/what/when/why/etc, but have got to the stage now where I know that to believe would be deluded. They should just come clean, tell the truth, take the flack and fock off.

Biggest disappointment for me was at the Barnet game where all my enthusiasm had gone and with my mate who is blind had no enthusiasm in my commentary and couldn't be bothered anymore.

Wasn't as bad for the Dagenham game but my excitements no where near what it should be for a team playing well with so many off field worries.

I said I wouldn't go back, but not so much for myself for my mate I'll see the season out.

The fact we are scoring plenty too is a huge surprise.

As a Carlisle United fan you have to be completely pissed off with Jenks and Nix clinging to power. It's not new, Jenks is deluded enough to think that he's been the savoir of CUFC for years now rather than a f*cking liability.

If only the club was run by successful businessmen with money to put into the club, rather than this current situation of dubious borrowings and loans and lack of investment.

Carlisle has a stadium even now capable of holding 18,000, there are a lot of people in Cumbria and beyond who would support new owners, new ideas and a real feel-good factor around Brunton Park.

I' along with many others I'm sure would be very interested to see what has been earmarked for the substantial cash coming from the Liverpool tie.

Out on the pitch, we've got to be pleased with the upturn in results. I'd like to see us bringing a couple of decent, dogged, experienced centre backs in to support the rest of the team, instead of constantly playing full backs out of position. Mr Curle cannot be happy with conceding 17 league goals - at around 2 goals a game.

On the playing front I have to agree with the opening post. I expected Brough to step up and establish himself at Left wing back. He has failed to do that. I expected Hery to be an excellent attacking midfield option... from what I have seen he is a decent player, comfortable on the ball, some nice tricks, and actiually gets stuck in some times... However, If you are playing attacking midfield you have to make things happen... you have to score goals or create goals, or both. He looks tidy enough but just doesn't make things happen... he is rarely a goal threat and just doesn't really create anything much when he has the ball.

The other big negative is the defending.... at times it has been kamikaze. We have had a huge amount of luck on our side so far this season, but if we don't sort out the defence soon then the luck will run out.

Ibehre has been the biggest positibve obviously... given his scoring record I don't think anybody would have predicted that purple patch.

Off the pitch is a total shambles. The way Andrew Lapping has been treated is a disgrace. The owners continue to demonstrate their utter incompetence on a regular basis. Let's hope that Billionaire pulls his finger out and invests soon eh?!

Good to see Hery take my advice on board and create a goal at Liverpool
