Holding a strong Premier League team to a 1-1 at their place is a fantastic result.

Gutted we lost on penalties but still feels like we won, totally unlike the sinking feeling for not seeing off York.

I read on a Liverpool forum that Keith Curle was overheard shouting that some of their players are shite

There was some other great quotes as well.

I would give Keith an eighteen month contract on the strength of what he has done this season.

We really couldn't have done anything more. What a night. A good number of our team will have realised that they love this club tonight and hopefully a good few hundred fans will come more regularly this season too.

I've been crtitical of KC in the past but his team did him proud last night. They looked committed and for pretty much the first time this season we looked organised defensively. Maybe the players are starting to get comfortable with the formation and the style of play. To restrict Liverpool to speculative long range shots was a fantastic effort. Let's hope we can start to see this kind of solid defence in the league... if we do then we will take some stopping as we always look like we will score. Well done Keith, well done the players... and well done to the fans who were there as you made a hell of a racket.

Credit where it is due to all. I've been critical of grainger too but I thought he was superb last night and I really felt sorry for him with the penalty. Him and Raynes were excellent . Well done lads.

Looking at the article about Liverpool in the Sun yesterday where it listed Roger's signings the starting 11 cost £130.5m excluding Skirtl & the subs a further £22.5m.
Makes our effort last night even more impressive

Think back to the days of the clown era.. the game would have been over before it started with his defeatist mentality.. The lads performed with desire and heart last night especially after scoring. Defensively it was backs to wall stuff at times but they managed to throw bodies everywhere and defend with discipline ive never seen before. Cant knock the shootout..its a tombola. Great effort but just proves despite the gulf...its 11v 11 that walk onto that pitch and its all equal..no fear!!
