We got into the JPT final there that night when they under estimated the Carlisle following somewhat and played them last game there when Simmo won the league. I also remember us getting beat there once when its was like a skating rink!

At the end there was a pitch invasion as I remember and County fans streamed across the pitch towards the Carlisle fans. I thought there was going to be trouble but they stood and applauded to congratulate us on promotion.

It was. Just enough for us to seal the title and just enough for them to survive relegation, so everyone was happy at full time.

My favourite ever 0-0 draw!

Us lot singing 'we are going up' and them lot singing 'we are staying up'.
Then straight home afterwards for a party at Brunton Park.

I hope Stockport climb the leagues again as I always liked their fans. A particular highlight was attending the away game at Cheltenham and seeing a few hundred Stockport fans turn up to support us, as their game at bristol Rovers had been postponed. It was a very wierd situation of having 3 sets of football fans segregated from each other in the same ground. Their fans did us proud signing Carlisle songs all game. This match kind of summed up the lower leagues for me.... there is no way that would happen in the Premiershit.

We too had a pitch invasion (no idea why really) but our fans went over to the away end to applaud the Torquay fans. I remember Simmo brought himself on as a sub and nearly scored a last minute equaliser.

I'd been at the 5-0 at Colchester the previous week but this was somehow worse. The atmosphere was poisonous - arguments breaking out all over the away end and a rotten performance all round. Remember Myrie-Williams dribbling the ball into touch , something which always pisses me off.
