I'd also add to DBs comments by saying that we also had the two young Newcastle lads in there ( though they did well in as subs at Anfield ) to add to that general inexperience. Hopefully Curle has realised the limitations of his squad and that we don't have the strength in depth some might have thought.

It could have been redeemed in part by introducing Dicker at half time. Also a change of style with a big man up front after the unfortunate enforced substitution of Jabo. Not sure if Riggs would have done as well as Raynes did when he went forward but a mix of passing from the back and long ball is worth trying.

Also can the coaches please explain to players that it is not compulsory to try to beat a man before putting a cross in.

I know as well as anybody else that not every player can play 50 odd games a season, some can some cant, but were only up to about 10/11 at the moment, and Raynes (my man of the match) Joyce, Hery all managed it without to much problem?

I honestly think we should just forget about todays result, I think we can get something at Orient.

Disappointing result and performance but I was surprised to hear the booing at full time. Ex-players have said they've been scared to make mistakes during games and I wonder if this is what's happening to Brough (I read the other thread).

Exactly! It wouldn't be a Carlisle good run if we didn't drop the odd bollock or two. It must be the same watching Man City.

The booing was directed towards the time wasting tactics of the Newport side, and the referee for buying into it. Brough and rigg have been found out this season, second season syndrome and sadly I feel that they'll end up at Workington/barrow in 12 months. We can't seem to play against sides that sit back, we look lost when we have to have the impetus in a game
