TheCumbrians @MrHettrick I'll come back to you on that!! Plans have been scuppered, so was considering a few days away in the Bath/Bristol area instead

TheCumbrians @J4ck_C0u51n Must have been considered 'Serious Foul Play': https://t.co/05YadHMnsA - to me it was a strong, but fair challenge.
TheCumbrians @J4ck_C0u51n ..understand why it wasn't rescinded. One of those that you can analyse all day as a panel and still not agree on.
TheCumbrians @J4ck_C0u51n I've only seen it once admittedly. The incident itself is different to Joyce's though. Joyce wasn't a red for me, but can....
TheCumbrians @J4ck_C0u51n Yes, without a doubt. Penalty and yellow card.
TheCumbrians @J4ck_C0u51n Goalkeeper was always getting there first, imo. I presume the panel agree and that's why it was rescinded.
TheCumbrians @J4ck_C0u51n No such rule as 'last man'. The rule is 'denying a clear goalscoring opportunity'. Coloccini didn't do so.

Can anyone guess the team to play against Orient?

My guess:
Gillespie, Miller, Raynes, Gillesphey, Atkinson, Grainger, Joyce, Dicker, McQueen, Kennedy, Asamoah.
Subs: Hanford, Hery, Sweeney, Rigg, Gilliead, Osei, Balanta.

Anyone who gets the starting line up - well done. Bonus if you get the subs right as well.

I would play the same starting eleven as against Liverpool, barring injuries, however the thought of Curle playing the same team twice is the stuff of fantasy.

I'd be amazed if he plays 5 players who've mainly been used as centre halves. Whoever he picks Bry will be delighted as long as we lose ;).

Dancing mate, I'm afraid you have got me completely wrong I never, ever want United to lose no matter who is in charge. and I'm doing my absolute best to see the good in Curle, unfortunately I just can't, I find him to be very, very irritating and that's putting it politely.

I know what you mean, fancy trying to play football with this set of players and in our kickers league, just were is the entertainment in seeing plenty of goals for and against, exciting end to end games, beating a higher league opponent in the cup, going to anfield and attempting to pass it out from the back in a not too shabby a fashion.

60 yard punts up field to a beast centre forward is what we want and need.

Curle out Curle out Curle out.

He can stick Mark Gillespie in midfield if he wants as long as he gets the results.

We lost a game get over it, nowt said inbetween the defeats by you and your other Curle out sad fucks, despite what you said earlier I bet you were creaming at the thought of getting the old KC jibes ready.

It is quite pathetic tbh but sadly not exclusive to this club or message board.

To be fair we have still done that for much of the season... it's just that the defenders and keeper have had 15 pointless sideways passes across our own box before we eventually hoof it. It will be interesting now that the big beast is not there whether we can actually cope in L2... we looked utterly lost on saturday without him and kept hitting long balls to Asamoah.... even Curle mentioned this in the interview after the game. I applaud his attempt to play passing football... but is has to be constructive passing football and not just to keep the ball for 2 minutes before hoofing it.

When I saw Connor Hammell warming up on the touchline for a pre-season friendly he didn't look ready for competitive football. I think he is so far behind players like Kennedy and Hery and now Gilliead in the pecking order that he should go out on loan for a while. He may well come good but he looks like being a late developer.

He can chop and change all he wants for all I care. I don't expect us to be challenging the top of the table come the end of the season (although it would be nice!) and don't expect to see us struggling at the bottom either. Mid-table would be a HUGE improvement from the dogshit of the last couple of seasons.

We have a reasonable squad there and I expect the manager to make full use of it. His job is to pick the team that he thinks will get us the result. Naturally, he isn't going to get it right every time, but our position in the table tells you he isn't doing bad - in fact, it's a remarkable turnaround.

The important thing for me is that whoever he picks, those players are going out and putting a shift in, they're working as a unit and for each other - you can't put a value on that.

He said at the start of the season that he would make changes every game and guess what? He's making changes every game. It may not be what everyone on here would do, but as far as I'm aware there are no professional football managers on here... and we've had the best start in the league for quite a few seasons, we're four points off the top of the table, we're scoring more goals than we have in years. We've beaten two teams from higher leagues in the cup, one away from home that was playing in the Premier League last season and taken the five times European champions to a penalty shoot-out at Anfield. Yet people are whinging because they think he talks funny in press conferences/we've let too many goals in/he does something he said he would do at the start of the season.

There really is no pleasing some people.
