TOPIC: Tossers in The Warwick

See some pond life have returned to The Warwick yesterday. Throwing bottles on the pitch,then squaring up outside,within themselves, outside the ground afterwards. Look like a load of Jeremy Kyle rejects.

A 6 or 7 year old must have seen this,as he just casually walked up to the pitch and threw a bottle on the pitch,just after the Asamoah dive. We don't need people like this coming to the match.

I wouldn't know they wouldn't open the gate from the paddock yesterday for some reason ??

Wasn't this naughty looking bunch was it by any chance?

never understood why stewards get so much grief for this surely if you want to go in the paddock you'd buy a ticket for the paddock and vice versa

You know what I mean

for Safety reasons in order to open the gate the number of folk in the Warwick have to be able to fit in the paddock should they all decided to move and vice versa now I'm not suggesting that it would ever happen but that's the reason behind it

I stand down there and the steward in charge has to wait for a radio message from Match Control to open it

I'm glad that the stewards dealt with it so inefficiently.

Giving them scrotes the attention for so long rather than just turfing them out completely killed what could have turned into a bit of atmosphere and the fans getting behind the team.

Wouldn't mind if none of them are seen at the club again.

Couldn't open the gates for safety reasons ....what a load of crap !
Nearly every game we go from the top end of the paddock to the WRE so the kids can see better etc ..
But we weren't allowed in for safety reasons ...do me a favour !
Little hitlers ! .... it's prob the only power they get in the week while they're away from their wives .
Crowd control ? Dear me !

Improving the match day experience ??

Then why not buy tickets for the Warwick Road end in the 1st place if you move nearly every game ?

We meet people in the same place in the paddock ... problem ?
Wev done it for years .

Moved out of the Warwick because some of the idiots were unbearable and the paddock is becoming unbearable atm with all the whinging. if I had a pound for the amount of times I've heard 'they look like the home team' and 'bring Rigg and Meppen-Walter on'

The paddock has always had whingers though.. ask if the waterworks can open so you dont have to listen to any twining

Basic health and safety problems there. I know it's unlikely there'll be another disaster at a stadium but there's always a chance. Fair enough, risk your own safety but when you possibly risk other people's (stewards, emergency services ect) safety that's when personally I lose respect for said people that endanger lives

Them lot look to be too old to be working themselves in the Warwick.

Get yourselves sat down in a nice comfy wooden seat in b stand with a flask.

No idea who them lads are but I guess they are just young lads out after a good few beers and a good laugh at the game, I am in my forties and still remember what that is like but it seems like everyone on here has forgotten that they were young once themselves.

Maybe you should all club together for a flag that reads 'FUN - LETS KICK IT OUT OF FOOTBALL' as there is clearly no place in the modern game for young lads to go and have a skinful and enjoy their Saturday.

Bumble I guess will donate heavily to the cause but will probably call them racists as well to add weight to her argument somewhere down the line.

I know what you're saying crangon, but most of those lads are knocking on 30 years old and as you can see a couple of them seem to be granddads...

Yup, throwing bottles on the pitch is the new top fun of a weekend, quickly followed by being ejected and banned from the ground, no doubt the lad that did this would then bu up for all kinds of fun with our friends the police and then find his Saturday truely complete with a visit to the cells.

It's each to their own, I find it inconvenient to keep running to the bogs myself and missing the game....

Not saying that it is clever to throw litter on the pitch and I wouldn't do it but if this is the height of our hooligan element then I think that we can all breathe easily and sleep at night.

where do you stand on throwing coins? Attempting to injure a player or just a generous contribution of loose change to the underpaid footballers benevolent fund?

Coins and stuff like that is nasty, that would be deliberately trying to harm someone, however sarcastically you try to dress it up.

And no - I don't condone the throwing of shurikens, daggers or darts onto the pitch either before anyone asks

Just to clarify, throwing half full bottles is ok?, everything else is bad?

Did this bottle have a lid screwed on to it?

I haven't a clue who threw a bottle on the pitch or even if a bottle was thrown onto the pitch, I didn't see anything of an incident. If a bottle was thrown and the person is caught throwing it then I don't see how anyone can condone their actions.

Regarding the photo of the lads. To be honest I find it a bit unsettling that a photo is posted up and some folk appear to be judging them, I don't like the kangaroo court feel to it but maybe that's me just being too sensitive again I don't know the lads names but they are at most of the home games and some away, they make a big effort to get some noise going and enjoy the match. Always been spot on with me, really hope they aren't involved in the alleged bottle throwing.

Tbh, this thread is one of the most ridiculous in a long time! Nobody in their right mind throws anything on the pitch. Nobody in their right mind condones anyone throwing anything on the pitch.

I remember some idiots throwing bananas a the man city keeper 1984ish, now they were the dark days!!!

In the words of Davie and Donald Stott, was the bottle thrown underarm or overarm? And did he let out a little tommy squeak when he threw it?

It certainly was the individuals in the photo uploaded on this post. I can also say that it wasn't a single coke bottle. there were at least 3 coke bottles thrown and a beer bottle to boot - which hit the steward on the right shoulder, only just missing the top of his head.

Those involved ruined the atmosphere at the game and quite frankly should be banned from every ground up and down the country - I certainly don't wish to see them at any CUFC game home or away again.

I have to say the way that the situation was dealt with was also a farce, granted the 3 stewards themselves couldn't have done a lot, but within minutes of the incident the whole bunch of them should have been dragged from the ground by the police and carted of to the nearest cells for the night.

A photo of the alleged folk involved posted right away - aye okay.....

The lad who threw the bottle into the 18 yard box was about 12 year old - he was stood very close to me. It wasn't the Asamoah "dive incident" it was the one where he was entering the box square on, got ahead of the defence and was forced down. It did look like a penalty to be honest. This lad was stood behind a crash barrier - he ducked under it and scopped his bottle in anger. It was a strange incident, he looked almost in tears as he did it. His Dad was stood nearby and gave him a right bollocking - rightly so. I do sympathise a bit with this lad, clearly passionate and he could have issues we know nothing about. However I could still not condone it, bound to have made the refs report.
