Doesn't sound like it is going too well for the lad.

Sturrock increasingly looks like a manager that has lost the plot, the fat oaf.

Aye a fat oaf with Parknson's. :(

Mayb it's time he jacked it in.

He did sign Beck so it seems strange he's wanting rid of him already.

With hindsight, he probably should have gone to Barrow. Was always going to be tough going to a struggling club at the other end of the country. Only recently became a Dad for the first time too so spending that much time away won't be fun.

And,more importantly, he's not very good at football

Probably 10x the player you are though

tbf to him you don't score the goals against Ipswich and Blackburn if you are shit at football.

You'd think if he was moving that far he would've relocated.

Well I'm probably 10x the forklift driver he is,scoring against reserve sides in the league cup is one thing but I just don't think he scored anywhere near enough goals, Im sure he'll end up scoring against us in the near future though...

I said the same thing about madden and Murray, he always seemed to be in the right area and the ball never fell to him and he may have missed a few but a sign of a good striker is getting into the positions to score also i really think you should check the Blackburn reserve team as the defence that day was actaully quite strong Gaël Givet.

So we're supposed to keep average players for a couple of more seasons than we should in the hope they become good, we'd still have Curran playing for us now.

curran was just shite, i think beck had to leave us but he actually may have suited how we play now, but i think he made a mistake by going to Yeovil.

Who said that in this thread ?

Somebody said he was shit, others said maybe he wasn't that shit, I think it is called discussion.

I thought he had something about him, but maybe it was never the best time to be a striker at Carlisle during the last seasons of the Abbot and Kav show.

The only question we need to ask is would he get in the team this season, which would be a no, he'd be behind Jabo, Wyke and Asamoah.

So it was right that he moved on, in hindsight we should've sold him to Falkirk when they wanted him.

I've just said it is that ok with you?
I happened to think he had something about him as well but you can't just keep hanging on to players in the hope they're going to produce the goods,

Maybe one of the reasons why British football cant compete anymore as we cant be bothered developing talent, Big problem with the English development system we would rather take numerous loans from the prem than develop players, here a bit of a comparison for you Ibehre in his first 4 seasons 13 goals in 73 matches 1 in 5.5, mark beck 16 in 86 1 in 5

True, but right now, as Melbourne says, we need the players that can deliver the goods, we don't have space in the squad for players that MIGHT be good in a couple of years.

At the minute Beck looks like he has the potential to be a league 2 striker, I for one hope that as a club we should be aspiring to have players with better potential than that.

I hope the lad gets it together, was always going to be a gamble moving to Yeovil who seem to have deep rooted problems and they signed him to deliver the goods and it just didn't work out.

Has promise, but like Holt and Murray, might move to a few more clubs before finding the right fit.

Jabo played a lot of his early days as a winger. stats are what they are but i can guarantee Mark Beck wont be playing league football for the next 15 year.
