A group of Carlisle United fans mocked the club’s continued talks with a mystery tycoon by making a grand entrance to Brunton Park.

Supporters looked on intrigued as a stretch Hummer arrived outside the ground’s main entrance – and a Sheikh, Lord Sugar, Del Boy Trotter, Michael Knighton and Mr Monopoly then emerged.

Brandishing a briefcase full of fake banknotes, spraying champagne and asking to know the whereabouts of United’s owners, the five declared they were all “billionaires” who were here to “buy the club”.

The Peter Andre song Mysterious Girl – adapted by Blues fans to “Mysterious Curle” in tribute to manager Keith – was also blaring from the hired Hummer’s speakers.

Some supporters booed as United’s stewards eventually asked for the vehicle to be moved.

But the five “billionaires” then appeared in the Paddock for the game against Exeter City, where they shouted messages towards owners John Nixon, Steven Pattison and Andrew Jenkins in the directors’ box.

It is now exactly five months since Carlisle announced they had opened negotiations with an overseas billionaire.

Although it is understood United’s owners are still yet to meet the individual in person, chairman Jenkins last week insisted the billionaire remained a “potential investor”.

The News & Star attempted to contact Carlisle United but did not receive a response before going to press. United won Saturday’s game 1-0 in front of a 4,012 crowd.

Hope Jenkins and his two cronies are fuming and there is some sort of inquiry underway as to how this was allowed to happen.

You would think that after all the ridicule and bad press the gimps are getting they would at least come up with some sort of evidence that backed their "billionare " fairytale but as per usual they cant or wont publish anything .

My hunch is they cant and we all know why .
