We've heard nothing from Nixon since he said he was relinquishing the MD's role, although he still keeps control. Like Hitler at the end he seems to be going deeper and deeper into his bunker.
Also noticed that the list of directors has now disappeared from the clubs information page in the programme, but Nixon is still listed as the MD on the clubs website:
www.carlisleunited.co.uk/news/article/st...stjune13-283321.aspx

Interesting comparisons with the last time we fell out with the owners.
Knighton had his aliens, Nixon's got his 'billionaire', Jenkins his loyal fans and silent majority and Pattison his twitter account.

To be fair to Jenkins, he has been vocal and broken the silence - albeit to call Phillips a c unt on live radio....

Apart from that, when was the last time Jenkins was interviewed. Since the Cooper incident he only seems to give statements via the official site or in the programme.

The three of them are deluded and are shit scared of the media.

As time passes it is becoming even more clear how inexperienced at media relations our Custodians are.

JN uses the mushroom approach...
SP uses the Britney approach, and
AJ lurks in the shadows.

Not alot of positivity about the whole campaign around Brunton Park when it comes to our Custodians. This is a direct result of their attitude I'm afraid, so fight on for change, it is needed soon. Come back Fred, all is forgiven.

As Flatcap says they are absolutely terrified of the media, and for a number of good reasons. All of them have fairly serious questions to answer, individually, which would be uncomfortable for them and collectively the questions would be horrible for them. What they've chosen to do is just to ignore the press and drip feed small snippets of information through the club website, in the hope some of the stuff (certainly the individual stuff) can be forgotten (the swearing, the tweets etc).

I don't think they're as hopeless with the media as a lot of people might believe, after all when you talk to them they are very personable and actually come over as very nice people if I'm honest.

Their big problem really is the stuff with the billionaire, they've really painted themselves into a corner with that, and there would appear to be no easy way out. That is where all the mistrust comes from, and that is where the News and Star's twenty questions all carry on from. Quite honestly, if they had just been up front and open about not wanting to give control of the club to Lapping nearly 6 months ago they wouldn't be in this position now (they might even have never considered it in the first place - they only looked at it because of media pressure anyway). That was their bad decision in terms of relations with the media, instead of the statement about Pattison on the website and then asking Lapping to wait a bit while they looked at another offer, they could have just said they did not believe it was right for the club. They could have ducked and covered for a month and it would have been, for the most part, gone. Instead the really stupid stuff they have done to get themselves out of a hole (of their own making) has dropped them into a much bigger hole. The problem they have now is everything they do is open to scrutiny, and some of us (me definitely included) are bringing up stuff from years ago as well. It has got out of control, and I can't see a decent way out of it for them.

"I can't see a decent way out of it for them"

I can. But since none of them are either decent or honourable men, I'm not expecting them to resign.
