Another one of those who fell out of favour with Curle who really hasn't gone on to prove anybody wrong. Robson's now playing for Shildon, Marrow still hasn't got a club, Symington's at Barrow, Gillies is at Gateshead, Paynter's at Hartlepool and Beck's out of favour at Yeovil. Meanwhile we're in the play-off places and playing some good football.

And yet people were claiming that Kearns was the Irish Messi and Curle was a monster forcing players out.

Still waiting to hear the damning tales of nasty Curle from the likes of him and Griffith, which we were promised let's not forget...

Griffith retired shortly after didn't he, think he only played two more games.

To be fair we were such a badly ran club that with bringing in Keith Curle it was like we had suddenly turned from being semi professional to professional - the arguments that him and Nixon must have had....

Basically Curle has also shipped a lot of our shite out and none of them have done anything, even our supposedly best players he had to sell are hardly pulling up trees - Potts is in a team struggling at a league one level and Dempsey never gets a game.

Still think it is a work in progress, he has signed some cracking and exciting players and he still hasn't finished on his team, possibly still undecided on some players.

Best thing is that the ones that haven't worked are on short term deals and I would imagine on a low wage so no big loss, you could say that the better ones are on short term deals too but you can see that they are happy playing for Curle and would hope that they would extend their deals.

Never had any problem with any of the players that he didn't rate being shipped out, but it seemed the treatment some of them endured was a bit harsh.
Maybe some had to be treated like that for the greater good but others seemed to me to be hard done by.
I like Curle but still think the likes of Robson could have been shown i little more respect.

Robson was constantly crocked so Curle didn't get a chance to drop him.

I remember Robson being really bitter when he left as he was on a high wage and was gutted that he didn't get another two year deal for doing absolutely nothing.

So we should've given him a new deal just because he'd been at the club a long time ? Pretty sure if a club had come in and offered him a higher wage and a longer contract he'd have been away.

There is no such thing as loyalty in football, neither from players or clubs.

I rated Robson in his early days here, in fact one of my favourite players of his era.

Then he had that rant about Curle in the paper and because he was one of Abbotts boys he wasn't going to be gifted a contract any more - hacked me off a bit because it showed no class and he didn't have to do it.

He has hardly shown that Curle was wrong either.
