I'm sure remember going up to Colchester in the late 80s or early 90s on a Tuesday night, getting stuffed (5 or 6, although there were so many on the road around then I lose track) and having to wear some horrendous pink top with The Sun across the front they had given us because our two kits were blue and white at the time. It's funny what stays with you as a Carlisle fan.

Watch the club try and fire a sponsor on the middle of the training kit and try and flog it for £40

Anyone else think this is a bit of a shan? Surely they knew at the start of the season that Wycombe wear black and blue, so having these as our only kit colours just seems daft? Having said that, I thought the black was a bit of a clash on Tuesday, and would have thought blue would have made more sense. But whatever.

This is cringe worthy to be honest. Do they not think about these things when coming up with kits at the start of the season?

The fact people think this is better than the actual away kit surprises me. This is a training top and that's exactly what it looks like, even with the numbers and badges on. Could they not have got hold of a set of last seasons yellow kit? Would look better than playing in a training kit.

I think both our home and away kits this season are fantastic.

Surely the 'Jenkins happy clapper group' is easier to spot than having a unique shirt. Personally I wouldn't mind this, as iffy as it is it's definitely unique

I think a lot of these comments are somewhat harsh on the club, I doubt anyone would have anticipated this perceived clash between what Wycombe wear and our black shirts if worn with white shorts. To be honest I don't really see our first strip clashes either

Why choose the same colour coombination of the next most prominent club in the County?

Before anyone says anything Barrow are Lancashire,just listen to them speak to work that out.

You would've thought someone at the club would know the home strips of every club never mind in the same division at the start of the season thus negating this embarrassing mistake in the first place and especially when we played them last season.

TBH i think its a bit shitty of Wycombe. If the boot was on the other foot i bet we'd have worn our away kit. Hopefully the result will be the same as when we had to wear that green kit at Bristol Rovers.

A real tinpot, laughing-stock club would just have rocked up at Wycombe in their away kit without having checked any possible colour clash with the referee. We checked on Tuesday, found there to be a problem, got a third kit registered but had to wait until Thursday morning. Then set about badging up the training kit and solving the problem. This tells me that the off-pitch team can think on their feet and should be applauded for their solution. Too many nay-sayers on here for that to happen though, eh?

Not sure what people expect here, would they really want the club to get a third kit designed and made for one game. Yes it's a bit embarrassing to be wearing the training gear for a match but if having 2sponsors on a shirt for one game saved us the expensive of producing a 3rd kit then so be it. As someone else said auction them off as limited edition for charity at end of season.

There's loads of thing we can rightly slate the club for. I honestly don't think this is one of them.

Ffs they have saved the club from getting a fine.

It was actually ordered in June it just took Sondico 4 months to get it sorted.

Forget the double logo and it actually didn't look too bad? Black shorts would be smart with that top...

It certainly left Fabien Hery looking strangely colour coordinated for once

Every Club gets issued with a League Handbook at the start of the season which contains all Club's colours, it should have been picked up then, perhaps it was and someone at the Club was confident that they would be ok, ultimately its down to the referee. Wycombe are one of the few Clubs whose design and colour never really change some someone should take that in to consideration when choosing the colour scheme for the away kit.

Wealdstone have a blue home and yellow away kit, there is no team in our League that plays in that colour combination but we always keep a spare set of shirts in a different colour just in case.

I cant understand why the yellow kit from last season wasnt used. Also, didnt we have a third kit the other year when we had the green away and third kit as white?

I thought the kit looked very smart, congratulations to the club for sorting it out successfully in a short space of time even though there was no need for it, the ref was a pure nob , there was no clash ffs. By the way, I see the board is still full to the brim with arseholes who want to slag the club off for every little thing, pure tossers.

Surely the best way round this in the future is to register the previous season's away kit as the third kit, assuming there's a colour change in the away kit. This also means that people who buy it have it for two seasons as an actual kit.
