bluealf Offline Youth Team Player Posts: 380 Likes received: 176	Don't bother, inside 6 months you will find that half of it will have blown away, be pinched by birds, covered in cat shit and thrown out, a quarter of it will disintegrate and the last 1/4 will dry out in the sun and blow away then your wife will say they didn't last long, maybe we should get some stone chippings/slate. Save yourself the bother and get those first.

Jumpforfun Offline Ball Boy Posts: 158 Likes received: 54	Depends how much you want but Dalston aggregates are good if it's a bigger load. If you aren't after much then the garden centres all do various sizes. I did my front borders and some beds with it about 3 years ago and then just topped it up this summer. Happy with how it keeps the weeds down and is low maintenance.

Old carpet is very good for keeping weeds down, killing any overgrown areas too.

Just the right time of year to be doing it too. I don't know how far away the nearest farm is but a couple of tractor scoops goes a long way.
