The squad is too big that's no problem, need to get shot of a few.

What did Joyce go for - nothing on BBC except red card...?

official CUFC page on facebook suggests it was a good tackle and Joyce came out of it with the ball but ref didn't like it

Looked pretty nothing challenge from the away end. Their bench/players made it look bad. Think the ref just likes red...we're playing well though

The player waved an imaginary card at Joyce as well apparently on his way off.
Looks like the ref has spoiled the game for us.

I had a good view of it and it was simply Joyce winning a 50/50 ball with a great tackle, even if he had to stretch for it. The reaction from the Wycombe bench has got him sent off by the muppet.
Team's playing well, Hery, Wyke and Atkinson impressive in particular.

This ref has form judging by his record of giving plenty cards yellow&red; and also penalties.

Hayes with 91st minute equaliser, who says cheats never prosper.

1-1 final result.

That's a decent result to be fair given the fact we played with 10 men for over an hour.

Cruel to concede so late though

Gutting to concede so late, but it's typical Carlisle United. I knew we'd buckle at Burton last season and I knew we'd buckle today.

Made myself a horrible little £20 by betting on the draw with 2 minutes to go.

All things considered a good point. We all would have taken that at half time wouldn't we.

Heart-braking finish, I think we would have romped it with 11 on the pitch. Hope I'm back here one day to relegate them from the league or see another team do it. Sweeter still if that jumped up, poncey haired pr!ck Ainsworth was still in charge.

Hope had a reasonable debut. I would have scored him a 6.5. Not going to judge at this stage HOWEVER he doesn't look any better than what we have.

Sounded like a brave effort; from James and Lummy i got the impression that the team did us proud. All that can be asked for is whole hearted effort. i love radio Cumbria Chairmen swearing and now the advocation of acts of violence! Great stuff. A good listen but gutted that they scored. Keen to see the 'incident', James Philips is pretty fair minded so i will be surprised if there was much wrong with it.

I would agree, it'll take some time for him to get on the same wavelength as his teammates. There was enough today to show that there's probably a good player in there somewhere.

Yeah. I'd agree with 6.5. But to be honest today wasn't about individuals. It felt like a real team performance. Everyone worked for each other. For about 65 mins+ the guts was great to see. It's a good job we weren't wearing gps vests...they'd've malfunctioned! Proud!

When we went to 10 I'd say most would've taken a point, but one of those that feels like 2pts dropped given the lateness of the equaliser...

Hope looks a physically strong forward which we need against dirty scummy teams like Wycombe. The ref was totally unable to stop Wycombe players shoving and wrestling ours to the ground all the time.

You mean how football was before the prima donnas of the premier league arrived on the scene, falling over at the merest touch. Don't mind a bit if physicality in the game myself, it's a contact sport afterall and was once played by proper men you know!

Nope! Can be described as a 'Limited-contact' sport' at best. The only contact allowed by the laws of the game is shoulder to shoulder.

Nothing wrong with physicality. I just object to two-handed shoves to the ground and rugby tackles. Wycombe were disgraceful.

Unless he assumed Gillespie was going to get back to catch it. But that's a pretty big assumption when you're standing on the line and the ball is looping into the net in the 90th minute.

F***ing hell!

Just watched the highlights.

Joyce's tackle - solid, 1 footed. Possibly a bit over zealous but never a red as he won the ball cleanly, on the floor with one foot and there was no malice. Did I hear James Philips say earlier 8n the game there was a two footer that Joyce jumped.put of the way of? Maybe if we rolled around and our bench ran on the pitch to harass the ref we might get.some.of their players sent off?

Hery - what the [censored] was he doing there in the line? Almost seemed to duck under it. I have serious misgivings about his ability to play for 90 minutes. Just jump and try and get something on it.

Just watched highlights never a red but doubt we will win any appeal too far north for that. As for Hery, sorry but that was pathetic and he needs a talking to by the senior players to explain the error of his ways.

If I was Hery I would have used my hands to stop it if he didn't think he could head it. Take a chance on Gillespie making the save from the penalty.

Talking to a few people after the match and watching hery in the warm down,he said he lost it in the light, it can happen and must be the reason he didn't get it away....I hope!

Just a shame that most goals we concede teams do not have to work too hard to get them, we could be 3rd or 4th if we cut this out.

Good team performance, great spirit.

Never ever a foul never mind a red card, unfortunately the game is changing for the worst.
