TheCumbrians @DanCUFC Unfortunately reasons out of @CUOSC control. Cheers for feedback though, will pass it on. Think it's good that KC is on-board too.
TheCumbrians @MrHettrick I'll come back to you on that!! Plans have been scuppered, so was considering a few days away in the Bath/Bristol area instead
TheCumbrians @DanCUFC @CUOSC of the current setup with Holdings etc. Other than that, any other opinions of the pack itself. All feedback welcomed.
TheCumbrians @DanCUFC @CUOSC Good spot Dan - definitely just a typo. Most will realise what was meant, and those that don't probably aren't fully aware

TheCumbrians @J4ck_C0u51n Must have been considered 'Serious Foul Play': https://t.co/05YadHMnsA - to me it was a strong, but fair challenge.
TheCumbrians @J4ck_C0u51n ..understand why it wasn't rescinded. One of those that you can analyse all day as a panel and still not agree on.
TheCumbrians @J4ck_C0u51n I've only seen it once admittedly. The incident itself is different to Joyce's though. Joyce wasn't a red for me, but can....
TheCumbrians @J4ck_C0u51n Yes, without a doubt. Penalty and yellow card.
TheCumbrians @J4ck_C0u51n Goalkeeper was always getting there first, imo. I presume the panel agree and that's why it was rescinded.
TheCumbrians @J4ck_C0u51n No such rule as 'last man'. The rule is 'denying a clear goalscoring opportunity'. Coloccini didn't do so.

This isn't really about conceding a late equaliser at Wycombe on Saturday. We were down to 10 men after all. But it got me thinking about times we've taken the lead so far this season. We don't seem to be able to handle it very well. When we go ahead and are on top, we don't seem to be able to put games to bed.

• We haven't won a game by more than 1 goal so far.
• The 2 times we've lead games by 2 goals this season (York and Barnet) we've let them get it back to 2-2.
• We've scored the first goal in all 5 of our games so far this month, but have only gone on to win 2 of them.

Whilst we obviously need to cut out defensive errors, I think we also need to become more ruthless when on top. For example we should have killed Northampton off in the first half on Tuesday, but we end up losing the game. Even against Exeter last week, we played very well but could easily have conceded 1-1 right at the end to drop 2 points when really we should have been out of sight long before that.

Hopefully Yeovil on Saturday will be a chance for us to get a comfortable victory.

I think we need to absolutely destroy someone by 4/5 goals, get the confidence flowing so the team know what they're capable of then we'll be laughing.

Hopefully this Saturday...

Yeah that's what I mean. I feel we're capable of giving someone an absolute pasting, but it just isn't happening. It's as if when we take the lead the players don't believe they can push on and get 3 or 4.

Totally agree with the OP. It's indicative of the fact that we still don't have a "winning mentality" at the club and there hasn't been one for years. I'm sure Curly Boy is working on it.

Was thinking this the other day. A team is in for a pasting soon, when it happens, I hope it will all click into place. I remember 2005/06 we were doing ok, and a little out of the blue, hammered Stockport 6-0 and that was when I dared believe promotion could actually be a possibility.

Totally agree whilst leaking stupid goals is a problem, the real problem is our failure to kill teams off we need to be more ruthless in front of goal and take our chances when on top. As stated maybe one good win would not only improve our goal difference but give the team The confidence to push on in games and kill teams off. We should and could have been in an automatic promotion spot by now.

I dont for one minute think we should be in a promotion place by now. Its ok saying if wed taken all our chances but every team can say that.

Totally agree. there are teams that we got results off who missed a hatful of chances against us. It works both ways.

Despite being well on top in the second half, as soon as we took the lead the players absolutely s**t their pants. It made for a really nervy last 15 minutes.

You'd have thought we were clinging on for a home win against a team top of the league, not a team second bottom.
