It's a great chance for FC United to show exactly why the were formed in the first place. Surely not playing the tie fits in with their philosophy more than the chance of an upset against the mighty and glamorous Chesterfield.

It won't happen but I'd love for them to tell the FA to stick it up their hole.

Bit of a learning curve really, if you enter the competition and that is in the rules it is your fault I guess - they ain't just put it in yesterday.

It is something that long term has to change but if FC United did say "no chance, we are out" another Club would happily have the money and play on the Monday night - all about sticking together stuff like this, something we aren't exactly that good at as Football fans in England at the end of the day (or should I say many Owners aren't really interested in it and just the money but when you are struggling to survive something like this would be a lifeline to many Clubs I would thought).

Sad situation all around. Not sure of the answer, personally I hate Monday night matches.

There's a lot to admire about FCUOM, their values of putting fans first is something that has got a lot of really positive attention.

In that statement it says:

FC United has a proud history of campaigning for change on issues affecting the game and its supporters. The history of that protest has always been about respect for the integrity of the game and not disrupting the match or players. In that spirit, on this issue we believe that we need to make a stand. Protesting at the moving of this match to a Monday is a continuation of the campaign against kick off times and ticket prices supported by fans of clubs in this country and abroad.

Saying no to the FA but actually going ahead with it really doesn't smack of 'making a stand' to me, and almost makes them look a little bit silly. No problem with them entering the tournament, but if the FA want them to move the game for TV, something that they were created to stand against, they should absolutely refuse.
