TOPIC: The Strangest Start To A Season In A Long While?

We can compete with the best teams but don't seem to show up against the worst teams but as showed against Yeovil we can dig deep.

A five goal thriller today but we are always going to nick it or get beat it seems, cruel for us last week at Wycombe yet Barnet and Yeovil will feel well hard done by to come away with nothing from Brunton Park.

We have to remember our place at the end of the day, with the current board in charge we are lucky to be in existence with their/his money having being squandered on old pals acts in the past so with Keiths regime a mid table finish and 5-5 and 6-4 results would not be surprising.

Gan on Keith and the lads, things are dire off the pitch but I certainly appreciate the belief that you have instilled on the pitch, we are no different to so many other teams around us as in we are three results from the top or to send us the other way but we are now fun to watch and I am excited about mere possibilities rather than fretting about near certain relegation.

Thought we would struggle witout Yabo but we have hung in there , seven games without who was then the top marksman in English football is credit to the team.Curle is consistent and not afraid to change or drop players , which is refreshing in itself.He is trying to play football somthing we haven't seen for a long time.We now just need the off the field debacle solved .

Half way to safety by the end of October is great and certainly an improvement on recent seasons I remain concerned by our total inability to defend for 90 minutes consistently. Yes it may be exciting to watch even if the quality is lacking at times how exciting would we feel it is if our ability to score suddenly stops. We have rode our luck at times (Orient) and it would not take much for the excitement some fans feel to disappear.

By now I had expected KC to have sorted the defence but it continues to be dismay. In fact I would go so far as to say it smacks of incompetence. It has been a strange start to the season but we are well into it now and I hope our run of gaining points continues I just worry that with our leaky defence our luck may run out.

I always feel we can score but, I always feel we can concede too. I'm enjoying the on field stuff though, just a little surprised and disappointed that Keith, an ex international defender, hasn't got us a bit stronger and tighter at the back. The goals Yeovil got and chances they had, some of which were gifts, were far too easy and generous. They could have about five before we got off the mark.
