TheCumbrians @DanCUFC Well...it's actually 46ft / 14m. Just under twice the width of a goal.

TheCumbrians @MrHettrick I'll come back to you on that!! Plans have been scuppered, so was considering a few days away in the Bath/Bristol area instead

TheCumbrians @DanCUFC @CUOSC Good spot Dan - definitely just a typo. Most will realise what was meant, and those that don't probably aren't fully aware

TOPIC: Stone Roses rumours

Stone Roses rumours 02 Nov 2025 13:30 #1

Rumours of a new album and tour from the Stone Roses next year have started in Manchester. Loads of posters have gone up with the bands lemon symbol today/last night. Announcement tomorrow apparently.

Not that I don't like the stone roses, I do, but this sort of thing really does get very boring when it's done every year or so.

Until Mullen or CCU say otherwise, I'd say it's complete b0ll0cks.

Hoping there's a European Leg personally, nice gig in Luxembourg or Perugia...

Hope you won't be complaining that they're playing songs in the wrong order or alienating certain songs they want off the tour. I hope they make made of stone captain and let it take free kicks and corners ;)

Please no. One of the most over-rated bands of all time.

Heard the new album rumour a few weeks ago from a lad who's normally pretty reliable. Although this is the Stone Roses, the kings of the false dawn!

They mentioned working on new material when they rejoined for their tour three years ago - I don't recall them ever saying they'd do that tour and that'd be it. I'd love to hear some new material and would definitely be doing my best to get tickets.

If you want to go go, if not then don't. Hardly hard to get a ticket really is it.

England could well be playing in the Euros one of those days like. Noel Gallagher playing in great venues in Madrid, Barcelona and Vienna in April - far more enjoyable in my opinion (the venue not the band although I prefer Oasis/Noel much more). Remember people complaining about venues for Stone Roses last time, they played Barcelona in a superb venue before Manchester but many who complained still went to Manchester.

Bit of 7to2 on the Roses headlining Glastonbury on the Sat night, also a bit of 1to5 on Adele! Although evens is top price.

Have they headlined a festival since Reading 96? Possibly the worst performance of all time!

Be plenty of folk who will love it, fair play to them I say. Bloody hard work to me, going Oasis got terrible in the end if you wanted a beer at their do's etc, chaos!

Never knew T was moving like.

I do like the Stone Roses and went to Heaton Park last time... but unless they release some more material it's just the same old thing. They really are lazy f**kers when it comes to new albums. I'm in Marseille at the Euro's when the Manchester gigs are on and certainly don't want to hear 100,000 p1ssed up jocks screaching along to them at T in the park.... i'll give it a miss this time I think.

Why are you banned from UK venues?

T moved to Strathallan this year but the organisation was a bloody shambles with people taking 6 hours to get out of the car park on Saturday night and Sunday not much better. Been to the last three but will probably give T 2016 a miss.
