50% of those present that day probably haven't set foot in Brunton Park since. Actually that's not correct most of the Leeds fans probably came the next few times... we dropped several thousand home fans for their next couple of visits. It was a great day though... despite getting pelted by coins in the family stand.

I was in London on this day, dancing the podium of a gay club with my top off (don't ask - I was there with a lesbian friend). On top of the world I was, swinging my t-shirt about for the excitement of the 3-1 result at Leeds.

8 years a go. Jesus.

For me this was the pinicle of supporting CUFC. The win in Stoke against Stenage felt good too but that was a nervous must win affair with a sense of relief at the end. Victories in the early eighties seem a life time ago when i was too young to realise just how good things were. This game against Leeds to me symbolised how far we had come. Great day, great feeling that reminds me of why it's so good to follow 'your local team'. Can't get my head around how long ago this was. In fairness to Leeds they deserve better from those that run their club.

Watching this has rekindled my desire to support CUFC and to be proud to be a Cumbrian.

My son's dad is a Leeds Fan (it was never gonna work) but he used to go & watch cufc all the time with me & still does with Thomas. Anyway ... This game he refused to go in the WRE so we sat in the EWM stand. I knew we'd win. We had to. But it was amazing seeing BP full & bouncy. The only game that's come close since was that game v Huddersfield. I love a happy BP.

I would say which one? There was the 4-0 JPT win, and the 2-1 when Lee Miller scored that backward header in the last minute. Both, while not full, had the crowd absolutely bouncing.
