TheCumbrians @DanCUFC Yeah, impressed with the quality again Dan. Would definitely recommend.
TheCumbrians @Jaffa113 It will be available to take to away games though providing the other club don't have a problem, given the size.
TheCumbrians @Jaffa113 Unfortunately not mate, I wasn't expecting it today so don't have the ties for it and haven't cleared it with Bristol Rovers.
TheCumbrians @cusclbontour Where without being blocked by supporters? An idea worth considering, if the club allow.
TheCumbrians @cusclbontour Definitely so! Need to arrange with the club so we get it right behind the goal.

Only a matter of time before it comes in over here now?

Would it affect the attendance of Clubs like ourselves?

They should let every Prem League match be shown live, well out of date that law now. People go

Championship matches live on Friday night and Saturday at 1pm.

Prem League all live at 3pm as well as 1 at 17:30 Saturday and 2pm and 4pm Sunday. If you are in Europa League you are on the Sunday (if it affects 3 matches then no need to have an argument as all matches are shown live anyway), if you are in CL Tuesday you play Saturday. Final 3 weeks of season - all matches played at 3pm Saturday, again no arguments as all matches are shown live. Allows people to plan much more in advance and also stops late changes happening.

League 1 and 2 should have matches shown live when it is international week, easy show 3 from each division on an international weekend.

The problem as always though is the money don't go back to fans or Clubs throughout Football, if it did people would not have such a big problem I imagine.

I would love for all Carlisle United games to be shown on pay per view.

Five to ten quid for a cheap commentary free option would be excellent for the games you couldn't get to.

You see the TV Firms could start trying to get back in the good books by showing matches from lower divisions that are hard for away fans to reach, if they showed for 1 moment that it ain't all about profit they would start being more respected. Just putting a live match on for every Club in the lower divisions every season would be a start. I know it is all about money but a loss leader with the cash these lot are making would do them a lot of good and improve relationships a hell of a lot.

That would get the tv firms way in the bad books for me, it would cripple the smaller clubs who rely on people turning up to watch them.

It might be good for the few Carlisle fans that can't travel to Plymouth on a Tuesday night in January, but for Plymouth that will mean that a lot of their own fans won't turn up because they want to watch it on TV.

Well that is a fair point.

Not sure what the exact maths could be but TV Football is never going to go away, by 2030 every Football match in the top 4 divisions will be live on the internet I expect, probably sooner.

Always wondered why the regional stations don't buy them. If ITV got a game for each region at 15:00 on a Saturday the combined ratings nationwide should be decent for that time slot. I would assume the club's wouldn't sell though due to attendance?

This is typical Sky/FA. They don't allow 3pm games here because of the effect it would have on EPL crowds. What about the Irish League? They don't give a toss.

To be fair it is already incredibly easy to get 3pm kick offs of all PL games already. You just need an android box.

I guess a lot of the people on this thread don't actually play Football on weekends or practise at night. Would help in the destruction of grassroots Football. Then again I doubt some of you care as you clearly spend half your lives on Forums or watching TV. Try getting a life and stop being Robot's!

they could regionalise the programming. as above, carlisle fans that want to go, go but carlisle fans that cant travel to plymouth could watch it on tv but that match wouldn't be shown in the plymouth region so if you wanted to see it you'd have to go and see it live.

I always think if a match is live on tv it should help the Club and in turn the fans, when you think about it though it is hard to come up with something that does that for lower league Clubs.

lol. Well I'm 44 and used to play a lot until my knees packed in. Now I watch live football and rugby most weekends in the stadium. I'm more than happy doing that.... but when I do have free time I like to watch sport on TV and I don't see anything wrong with that.

There will come a day when your knees pack in and you will have to watch football for your fix, so I wouldn't be so judgmental if I were you. I would be willing to bet that a hell of a lot on here used to play regularly, just as you do... we are just at a different stage of life. Enjoy playing while you can.
