TheCumbrians @Jaffa113 It will be available to take to away games though providing the other club don't have a problem, given the size.
TheCumbrians @Jaffa113 Unfortunately not mate, I wasn't expecting it today so don't have the ties for it and haven't cleared it with Bristol Rovers.
TheCumbrians @cusclbontour Where without being blocked by supporters? An idea worth considering, if the club allow.
TheCumbrians @cusclbontour Definitely so! Need to arrange with the club so we get it right behind the goal.

So Hanford played at Plymouth. Curle has said since Saturday that he has a selection dilemma after Hanford's clean sheet.

Do you think he'll stick with Hanford or will he put Gillespie straight back in?

I'd be very disappointed if I got to Bristol on Saturday and Gillespie wasn't playing. I've no problem with Hanford getting some cup games but in the league, play your best goalkeeper. Gillespie IMO is a far better goalkeeper than Hanford.

You should play your best keeper (Gillespie) every time

Gillespie will play but Hanfords confidence will be boosted hearing Curle sing his praises. As the season goes on (especially if we have a bit of a cup run) we will play alot of games close together it helps if both keepers feel they belong in the team incase something happens to Mark

Not even a contest...

Gillespie by a country mile. And then some more...

Not worried that he's going to pick Hanford at Bristol?

That's why I started this thread, Curle has a selection headache apparently. For me there should be no headache, Gillespie plays in the league if fit. End of.

I don't think Curle has a dilemma at all.

Every single game up to last Saturday he chose Gillespie in goal.

It was good that Hanford kept a clean sheet but was he unduly tested or was it more a case of good team defending?

I see no reason why he will suddenly decide to keep Hanford as number 1. Unless he has been having doubts about flappy Gillespie.

More likely to be mind games for the other manager to think about.

Anyways Hanford is a decent keeper and gets undue stick on here, decent I said not top class, do try and remember that we play in division 2

Gillespie is a good to very good keeper at this level, with the potential to go further.

Not quite sure who some of you people are expecting to come up to Carlisle, to sit on our bench and be the number 2 keeper but still be just a notch behind the number 1 :S

Hanford is a pretty good back up keeper for this level and won't let us down when needed... but Gillespie is an excellent L2 keeper, so it's a no-brainer for me.

Bang on there, bluealf. If you were good enough to be a League 2 keeper, you'd want to be a League 2 keeper somewhere, rather than sitting on the bench. It's the same with the Premier League, I can't imagine being so good at something to be in a squad in the Premier League but know that I'm second or third choice so am waiting for a couple of injuries before I can ever play. Surely you'd just want to go and actually play at a smaller club?
