However when I was in the RAF, stationed at RAF Swinderby, I worked with this lad from Nottingham, he was a Notts fan and a decent bloke. We were just working away one day and his wife wandered in to our office and gave him a right good bollocking for putting the bog roll on the holder wrong. She was scary like.

Any woman who let that paper anywhere near her Jack and Danny must have been mad as it would have been paper cuts galore.

More recently that said, I've been leaving the empty on the holder and putting the 'roll in use' on the top of it. I'm constantly reminded of my disappointment with my toilet roll holder as it's one of the ones with the stupid springy bit in the middle that you have to force to one side before being able to get the sodding loo roll on. Wish I had an open ended one. The only problem with the 'stacking' method is I've knocked two into the bog accidentally and wasted a good half if not two third full roll.

I guess that's just my moronic naivety of buying my first house and not considering it. Getting a new bathroom Jan/Feb so I guess all will be OK then.

Izal Medicated bog paper, what a terrible product. Who came up with it, and why ? Other than ' be there ' it certainly did not do what is was designed for............

Our personal health Guru's have alot to answer for, we were all taught to scrub our teeth ' up and down ' yet the people of the UK have some of the worst teeth in the developed World. But we are British, therefore all the rest are wrong..................

When I joined up (1984) that was the bog roll supplied in the barrack blocks in the armed forces, except each sheet was stamped with "Property of Her Majesty's Government". I had to swipe a roll and take it home to show my mam because she didn't believe me.

Actually fella, recent study says we have the some of the best teeth in the world. Sure we get the piss taken out of us for not having the cosmetic, super aligned, bleached luminous white look yanks find so alluring but in terms of actual dental health, we're streets ahead.
