Should be a big game on Saturday. No Craic at all on here. On the old board the excitement would have built up all week, regarding the team selection, how many Pompey fans were coming, etc. A lot of fans seem too be lost to the cause and have drifted away and found other things to do on a Saturday. Very sad :(

I can't see Carlisle getting any more than 4500 home fans, despite improved football and results we are getting no bigger crowds than last season. The MD's number 1 objective is to get people back to BP and increase revenue. This is not happening at the moment and I dont think it will do until the club come clean with the fans or the current owners leave.

they would rather talk shit topics like crisps, what films ,rivet jobs etc, in fact anything that is not cufc related, that's why I hardly post anymore, this board has turned into the sun news paper , ie crap.

Think this game will be a good marker to see how far we have came. Portsmouth will be a good side with a decent support, i know we drew with them last year but i feel there squad is much better this time round.

Always the same Al when the teams doing ok - nobody to slag off on a regular basis, so the regulars stop posting. It`s hard even to find a "well done lads" post after a win............it`s boring when we`re winning apparently.

I'm always more confident of a win when we're playing a big name team, there's nothing that worries me more than when we're home to the likes of newport or yeovil or Bristol city who havent won a game in 10 and on dreadful form, we usually lose. when the form teams come to town we pull our socks up.

I think that with Joyce coming back in, along with hopefully Kennedy that will add greater solidity in front of a settled back 4, wyke or Jabo are due a goal so i'm going with a 2 1 win.

Dancing Bear. Crack. Craic. What's the difference you clever c**t. Check urban dictionary, 'general banter'. Been a blue for over forty years, am very worried about what's been going on at Brunton Park since Laffy was shit on. Thought I would join up and join in the CRACK. Thought I made a valid point. But you and others would rather take the piss.Goodbye.

A bloke your age shouldnt really need to be looking at Urban dictionary under general banter to try to prove a point.

Agree with what you say - although I think you're being a bit harsh on Bristol City - they are struggling a bit in the championship, but did give Wolves a beating the other day!
I'm also surprised there's not more excitement about the possibility of Jabo's return.

Crack is the original form of the word, it is a northern English (and Scottish) word which was exported to Ireland and used over there much later. They've now exported it back to southerners who think it's pretty "cool" and refuse to acknowledge the word's northern roots because nowt from up here can be "cool". It has only really been in use in Ireland for less than a century, and at first mainly in Ulster (where there was an influx of Northern English and Scots).
