Seems ridiculous to me. They're 10 points off the relegation places in their first season back in the Conference - surely staying up should be their first aim. I think their owner has unrealistic expectations for them this season.

Maybe worth considering for a coaching role at BP in the future?

From what he has done at barrow I think he might get a chance at a low league team. Maybe just as assistant for now but seems he may have a decent future in management.

Has he really done an exceptional job?

With the budget they supposedly have, winning promotion wasn't exactly a huge achievement was it? I know you can only beat what's put in front of you, but still it hardly makes him manager of the century.

The owner obviously wants promotion again. Edmondson clearly hasn't put together a team capable of challenging, whether he underestimated the strength of the national league I don't know. But the owner has now gone out and got a man that knows how to get a team out of that league. You can hardly blame him for doing that.

I think it's the manner of the defeats that's prompted the owner to act.
He's very ambitious and wouldn't want to end up back in the Conference North again and Cox looks a good replacement.
