Good stuff. Can't be many around that don't rate the way things have improved under Curle this season.

When was the last time there was a resoundingly positive reaction to one of our managers' contracts being extended?

Didn't Ian Harte 'agree' a new contract before being sold to Reading ?

More excited about the coming reaction from the bed wetters than I am about the fact that we have an outstanding manager contracted for the next two and a half seasons.

I'm not his biggest fan but he seems to be doing a decent enough job this season so probably deserves to get a new contract. It's a positive thing that we have some stability on the playing, coaching side of the club.

He's keeping us away from relegation, while at the same time no danger of us going up/making playoffs.

Suprised the board only offered 2 and half years...

CCU's just been onto me with the good news, he's took the rest of the day off and is celebrating in Lloyds with a pint of Fosters.

A very un-Nixon decision to give a long term deal was my first thought. Last one similar was Ward, which led to Abbott then Kavanagh getting the gig as we were busy paying wages to sacked managers!

I'm not a fan, but if he's here so be it...

Could be that he's agreed to sign in the knowledge that Nixon & Co won't be here for the next 2 and a half years?

I'd imagine KC's thoughts would be promotion via the playoffs this season and then 2 years to get into the Championship ........... realistic?

im sure the target will be promotion by the end of his contract. this season could just be out of our reach, the play-offs is just a lottery so i doubt anybody aims to go up that way.

That's probably what he'd present as his targets, but realistically after last season's arse-nipper I reckon he'll be chuffed with a respectably 10th and job security with an aim to push on next year. I'm for one chuffed he's got a contract, whether in the right vain or not, he's doing what he set out to do and there aren't main that can criticise too much based on results. He might not be everyone's best mate but he's doing his job.

Isn't that what he's already doing muppet, then again if you bothered to turn up you'd realise this yourself.

Best decision the Horseman have made in ages.

Best news. I would happily take 10th this year no problem and then kick on next season get promotion. Exciting times ahead.

So the Glass Half Full Brigade are still about.............no way do we want to settle for 10th this season and am sure KC doesn`t want that either. If anybody can get us up the Divisions it`s Curle..............think positive people you might find you like it!!

A year too long at this stage for me. If we're losing goals by fannying around at this point next year then i'd reconsider his position. It's hard to work out at the moment given we can beat the best away and lose to the worst at home.
