Was talking to a lad today whose a Millwall fan. Said he went to the game rues night and it was £26.50 to sit or £23.50 to stand for away fans. No wonder crowds are dropping when teams are charging that much to get in

To be fair. It was £18 at Luton on Tuesday, and their ground is an absolute hole.

Unfortunately that's the price of football these days.

If I was a betting man I'd have guessed the price in the away end at Luton and Fleetwood would be similar. I wouldn't for a minute expect Fleetwood to be £8.50 more

I took my lad to a Fleetwood match last season.
In the home stand, It cost me £23-50, and my son got in free. All under 16's were free that day, don't know if it was a one off or applies to all Fleetwood games.

Luton's ground might be a hole, but Brunton Park is too.

over half the crowd at accrington...the away following should provide them with their biggest crowd of the season.

Wonder if they'll provide another false figure? Said 900 odd last season, when there was easily 1200+!

Fleetwood is similar to Wimbledons ground - they are very expensive prices considering its a deprived area along with a Champions League night. Not sure there is any club charges more for the lower leagues.

There are some rip offs. But, I think Kenilworth Road has character and I don't mind it at all. £18 is roughly what is expected. Best £18 I have ever spent lately to be honest.
2 weeks ago we paid £18 to stand on an open terrace as Bristol Rovers. I think it should have been £16, but we were so late the chief steward took the money, scribbled in a note book and probably trebled his wages.
Roughly 5 years ago, Oldham were charging fit and healthy people £20 to enter their ground and run the risk of leaving with depression or at best food poisoning.

No, Luton is worse, basically a 3 sided ground with nets at 1 end, less legroom than an easyjet flight and the bar didn't open till bang on half time.

Also, not related to the ground, but the London Branch recommended The English Rose pub to meet up in and said they served decent beer and food. They didn't serve any food and if they did I wouldn't have trusted it.

You need to get out more! Luton is without a doubt the worst town Ive ever been to and their ground is an example of why fitting plastic seats to old terraces doesn't work.

Hang on. I said I thought the ground was ok - and it is OK. I never mentioned anything about Luton itself, which comes second to Bedford in terms of English shit holes.

Learn to use the quote facility properly as well, I only said half of that

Well I thought there'd be one or two would agree that Fleetwood are charging over the odds but it seems it must be a fair price. I suppose if we do get lucky and get promoted no one will have any complaints of that nice mr Nixon decides to charge us the same.

Yes he did I couldn't find a way of getting it into that sentence ;). I do think though if our lot tried to impose that sort of a price the board would go into meltdown.
