I'd tend to agree. It is strange though that we've conceded a hell of a lot of goals but some of our better players are defenders.

Strange but it is really hard to pick out a stand out player so far, Jabo maybe if he hadnt got injured and missed a few games.

Goes to show that we do have a team that is maybe better as a team than individuals, and obviously a lot of credit has to go to Curle for creating this.

If i had to choose:

1. Jabo - obviously for the impact at the start, his goals early on mean we are looking up rather than down
Raynes - One of the few settled starters in a mostly ever changing team, obviously limited but for the most part has done a good job
Gillead - bit of tongue in cheek but as mentioned above no real outstanding performers, just good honest work so i reckon with his extra class he could be in with a shout come the end of the season

Asamoah for me.
Work rate is 2nd to none. Crucial goals, stepped up when Jabo got injured. When he is on the pitch you feel something can happen

Danny grainger does not stand a chance as people don't like him for some reason, but for me hes not far behind Ibehre as he's a fantastic captain he has been a key factor in installing a never say die attitude in our team, he's proud to play for Carlisle and finally he has 6 assists and 3 goals this season which is a pretty good for a defender, but jabo is our player of season so far in my opinion , followed by Derek Asamoah and then Danny grainger, but i actually think Alex Gilliead Might win it come the end of the season as his stats are very impressive 12 games (8 starts) 3 goals and 4 assists

All good choices so far. I was a strong critic of Grainger last season and I think rightfully so but I think he has been excellent this year so far so on improvement made I'll go for Danny Boy .
