Quite a few folk have got their Christmas trees and decorations up now.
I'm talking about in houses, not shops and that, which is a different thing.
Surely it's too early, what with it still being November? Or am I just being a miserable git who should mind his own business?

Advent starts tomorrow (Sun 29th), it's the first day that's just about acceptable to start it all. Though if you're doing trees and decor 'properly'; they should go up 24th dec, taken down 6th Jan.

I too am tired of muppets calling me a miserable git or scrooge for telling em to '[censored] off til it's christmas' during sept/oct/nov. Even in dec i can't stand it but will drop the feck off in exchange for a halfarsed grunt.

Way too early, I like seeing Christmas trees and lights, but by the time Xmas finally comes around I am fed up of the sight of them.

I absolutely detest the horrible way it has become so commercial over the past couple of decades. It is now nothing more than a bloody competition to see who can waste the most money on the least useful shite. The very fact that it all starts in late September or early October only devalues it further for me and makes me furious.

I'll be getting very drunk and ignoring everyone.
