I think it'll be a comfortable win for the Blues in the end.

1-3

Ibhere, Asamoah and Kennedy.

361 Blues in attendance.

1-1
Followed by drawing a big premiership side in the third round. TV cameras come in for replay which we nervously win 2-1 after extra time.

Curle is too professional to let our lot take this for granted, he'll be stressing the importance of commitment and hard graft. Welling are falling towards the lower reaches of the National League (although with a game fewer played) so we should be expecting to win at a canter. I think we'll get it right and win by 3 clear goals.

Would love a "big premiership side "in the third round or Newcastle.

1-1. Win replay 3-0.
In spite of all the positives, that we are in form, have players hungry for places, are not likely to be guilty of complacency, I still think it's a tricky tie.
The replay win will set up a 3rd round tie at home to Aston Villa.

They haven't won since the last round of the cup.

If we take this seriously and don't start with an arrogant only need to turn up attitude like we did against Yeovil, we should progress comfortably.

The first goal is key I think. If we get it, we win by a big margin. If they get it then we'll do well to grab a replay.

Welling 1-3 Carlisle

Hope the travelling isn`t getting to us - been a lot of road trips this month. Shame the airport isn`t running its Southend service till next year, it would have been a big bonus to fly down - I heard MOTD say Arsenal flew to Norwich at the weekend - 14minute flight :)

oh a win obviously for the Blues but not a comprehensively as we might think

I think we will win 3 Nil, Asamoah, Sweeney and Hery to get off the mark.
Hanford to start in goals with probably Asamoah up front to torment their defence

Had Abbott or Kavanagh been Manager I'd be fearing the worst then again this would be a repeat of a League match but under Curle we'll be at it so 2-4 to us and a plum draw in the third round. One of Southampton,Bournemouth,Portsmouth,Brighton,Plymouth or Eastleigh (if they are still in) Away.

I hope we play a strong side in this so the players are match fit for Oxford away which will be the real bench mark of our promotion aspirations.

Hoping for positive result but blimey remember Grays United, saved by floodlight failure as I recall, and worst of all, (the battle of) Boreham Wood which apart from dressing room toilets we almost lost save for Mark Becks injury time goal. Agreed hoping for a smoother passage ( so to speak) this time around.

I might be wrong but wasn't it Lee Miller?

Miller equalised, Beck got the late winner making it 2-1.

They also missed a penalty at 0-1.

Really? I only see one.

We score first and run out comfortable 3-1 winners, to be more precise in my prediction.

But like I say, if we don't start well as above, it could be a struggle.
