Hey, I'm a screenwriter (which basically means unemployed who has done some unaccredited work on films ) who is currently working on a screenplay based on Jimmy Glass's autobiography. I haven't talked to him yet as it's currently still at the developmental stage. However as fans like me I want to ask you your opinion. I have two opening scenes which I need to decide on. One is jimmy conceding an own goal at Wembley at the 98 football league trophy and the other is against Darlington when he conceded 3, maybe Hartlepool when Beardsley didn't try as hard as he could ?. The Bournemouth opening is my preferred opening as it makes a decent contrast between that goal and the goal against Plymouth.

Armo Offline Ball Boy Posts: 148 Likes received: 56	Why not open it the previous season, Carlisle away to Bournemouth with JG in goal for them, cross comes in from Carlisle (can't remember who), misses everyone and in the back of the net? Only other thing I remember from that day was it absolutely pissed it down, so much so that Bournemouth let us into the seated stand at half time (uncovered terrace in the first half).

If I'm writing it, it starts with him in the taxi hearing about Bournemouth playing a testimonial game and him just rocking up and them letting him play. It's in an interview with him, I think Jon C in the N&S; - he basically wandered in and Le Tiss greeted him with 'Jimmy Glass - Carlisle Legend!'.

Is it something you're developing yourself or do you have interest/backing. Could make a great wee film.
