Young lad, wants to play football, good for him.

Lukaku moved to another premier league side after several years at Chelsea. Chelsea were willing to sell after loaning him out.

Buddle had worked his nuts off in non league to get a contract in the football league. He gave it 6 months, got some appearances at the back end of the season, got rewarded with the offer of a contract extension.... turned it down and dropped back out of the football league. After 6 whole months.

It's the very definition of throwing in the towel in football terms.

I know this means nothing in the grand scheme of things but it's nice seeing younger and older pros from Southern areas coming to play for Carlisle and not seeing the excuse that Carlisle is too isolated etc etc etc.

Finally seems like we've a manager capable of selling the club and the city to players from further afield.

As said above as well decent contract length good for all parties hope the lad does well.

Missed my point a bit I think..... Seems to have been an excuse used in the past on why decent players have turned us down or moved to larger cities. I too couldn't care less where we recruit our players it's just been refreshing to see lads like Tom Miller come to the club and public state what a decent area it really is with the lakes etc on our doorstep as opposed to the Billy Paynters living allegedly over 100 miles away.
