Its just lazy journalism. Id have been amazed if they didn't go with Salford. Out of the lower league teams involved in round 1 & 2 then Salford are the obvious choice. Non league so potential for an upset, the 'Class of 91' brand exercise and its only a short distance from BBC Sport HQ in Salford to Moor Lane. Its too obvious and self-writing for them to have gone for any other team.

The knowledge of the lower leagues within mainstream football coverage, from what i can see, is very poor. The bloke on BBC News Sportsday last weekend said Hartlepool were in League One during his build up. Should at least know the leagues the teams are in. At half time during the game Dan Walker proclaimed there wasn't much difference between the Northern PL Premier Division and League 1 & 2. Even though Hartlepool were awful that's complete rubbish. Danny Murphy had to correct him on it and point out there's actually quite a lot of quality in the lower leagues, especially League 1. I was disappointed by the lack of knowledge and the focus on the 'razzmatazz', for a want of a better word, surrounding Salford.

Lot of commentators like this now though, just now on BT Sport the fella has said the Man U fans are in the standing section - you can't have standing in the CL, they will just be standing in a seated section.
